Weather seems too warm for fast times this year.
Live stream on the Valencia marathon website.
14:37 first 5k
No surprises till now. John Korir and Sisay Lemma right at the heels of the pacers.
Ed Ches killing it so far ...
Jess Stenson and Izzy running 6th-7th :)
31:16 10K split for our mileage king RTJ
Any leaderboard online anywhere?

There's a free app
RTJ is running well, has overtaken Dan Nash at 9 miles
Through 15k
Leaders 43:51 (2:03 pace)
Alex Yee 45:13 (2:07)
Phil Sesemann 45:11 (2:07)
Jake Barraclough 47:04 (2:12)
Dan Nash 47:00 (2:12)
Looks like my app glitched and showed Jake well ahead of Dan, I would only trust the 5k splits
Others in the shoetuber division:
Bester is on pace for a 2:20
Cole looking at around 2:26
Ben Parkes a 2:51
Goran Winblad a 2:44
There's a FloTrack live stream on YouTube with English commentary.
For some reason it's titled 'Live Preview - Valencia Marathon 2025' at the moment.

Gen a bit behind, 2.26 pace. Not small change bringing the whole family over to Valencia when she was never going to be in 2.22 shape so soon after having her baby. Seems a smarter play to run Ballarat or Nagoya.
The depth here today is crazy, 75 men are on pace for sub-2:10
Letsrun beloved RTJ is not going to hit 2:09
Weird seeing the men's leaders running 3 meters behind the pacers. Imho the pacers should allow them to catch up.
John Korir being smart in 5th place in the group.

He said a few days ago he was aiming for 2:12.
2:09 goal in a Japanese marathon in February 2026 IIRC
Edit: looks like he's working hard. Someone should tell him about the benefits of drafting.
RTJ just on the stream...looked to be grimacing. The blow-up might be on.
