Not for Elbadra...8:41.76
Obviously the track is not “running slow.” Elbadra closed in 30.64, a fairly world class performance. Allie Zealand made the race, splitting 67.92 (8:29 pace) from 1600 to 2000, and finishing 3rd in 8:44.71. That’s a 23 second improvement from this meet last year for Zealand, who turned 19 in September.
mile won in 3:55 and 800 in 1:47...
14:44.79!!!!
#2 US all-time indoor 5000m
#9 all-time US 5000m overall
Chamberlain in 14:58.97.
Until Valby, no collegiate runner had ever gone under 15:00 - now teammates have done it in the same race.

So her last 3000 was 8:43, 3 seconds off her PR
Does USADA test anyone at all? Imagine what people here would be saying if her last name was "Jepchirchir" instead...

With a long kick.
Only 8:59 thru 3k, content to cruise along w/Kosgei.
Felt confident stating earlier, Jane didn't need a pacer to run in the low-14:40s.
This may be Jane's fastest 5000 for indoors, especially if her next 5000 is NCAAs.
Much faster races to come outdoors when competing against pros in time trial races paced to well under 9/3k.
OMFG MARCO AND HABTOM JUST TIED GUYS WTH
