But I strike out trying to date women runners or just fit, athletic type women. They're either married, involved in cohabiting LTRs or simply reject me.

Advice to incel ectomorphs who inhabit these boards… running is the best sport and well worth pursuing to see if you can make your dreams become a reality. However, for most of you, you’ll realize that isn’t going to happen by age 22 or by 25 at the latest. That is the time to pivot.
Get off social media and porn sites, and start working on you. Pursue a graduate degree that will lend itself to a very good career. Start lifting and building your body to sculpt a strong, fit physique. Not a bulky physique as that is a turnoff but definitely trade the skinny fat in for some defined muscles in the chest, shoulders, arms, and torso. Don’t forget leg day.
If you do all that and you are a 5-6+ in attractiveness, you can date just about any woman you want. You don’t have to be wealthy or 6’4”. But you need to be signaling that you have the ability to acquire resources and are a protector. You don’t want a 10 anyway, at least not long term. They come with too much baggage and stress. You want to find a 7 or 8 for a life partner.
But instead of feeling sorry for yourselves and wanking it to an AI enhanced female, get out there and start improving yourself. Career, body, mentality geared toward autonomy and strength. If you build it, they will come (literally and figuratively).

Being talented at something is attractive. Being obsessed with something... less so. It says "I won't ever love you as much as [running/video games/the Philadelphia Eagles].

Considering this disparity, of course women are going to have more options. When you have more options, you tend to be picky. If you're broke and starving, you'll take any job you can get. If you're already making $200k/year, you're going to be very picky about which jobs you apply to. Given that, of course average looking men are going to have it rough on dating apps. Good looking men have tons of options, but when has that ever not been true? If you're not a good looking man, you have to ask women out in person. If you are good looking, then dating apps or in person, or both, your choice.
one of the funniest and most human problems with dating apps is that apparently many women use them not as a dating app, but as a way to get compliments so they feel better about themselves. And maybe get a little erotic charge.

Unbelievable...women find 80%of men unattractive (i.e. ugly) on dating apps. 😯 No wonder as a "non-Chad," I wasn't getting anything on these sites (I'm sub-5 & short - I should have known better instead of wasting money).
It's all about looks & height with today's modern woman. All this advice given about making more money, getting more education, having game, etc, means nothing. And for you guys advocating to just get muscular & lean - you need to understand there's no gym for your face! 🤣

Most people are Sheep. Bahhhhhhhhhhhh. Dating apps are ridiculous, see page 1 for why.
So imagine you're an average guy and you swipe right on 20% of women. If women swipe right on 1% of average men, that means it takes 500 swipes just to come across a profile that is possible to be a match. But the woman on the other end never needs to look through 500 profiles (Women get so many matches that they can fill up their date schedule without spending much time swiping). There's almost zero possibility of an average guy getting a date in today's world.
As a former teacher and substitute teacher who has had literally over 2000 students, I can tell you that most students say they have a girlfriend or boyfriend. Most are lying. When you get into college, a few might be telling the truth because they run into and out of relationships so fast at that age. A good strategy is to assume they are lying and keep talking to them the rest of the time you know them, if you are interested.
As an adult, online dating is the opposite. Many are looking and open to what you have to say. Why not? No one has anything to lose, and you can learn a lot by talking to anyone, and you do not get your feelings hurt as much. But if I were young again, I would do a little of both.

At the high school level everyone is good-looking! There might be a handful that are 1% better than the rest. When you grow older you will realize that everyone has 1000 or more looks, and that what's inside a person has alot to do with outward appearance!
