They're too thin, look at that unbelievable progression, and so on. Hedengren looks perfectly healthy. As Wetmore said, a condom over a skeleton is the correct weight. And she's far from that.
If you look at that photo and all you think is "strong", you're not looking. I'm not trying to tear her down, I'm concerned for her health and longevity. This isn't going to last. Also think it sends the wrong message to other young women runners, including teammates.
Somehow I'm a hater for pointing this out, but the FSU girl (who is much, much worse) is fair game. Can we agree on her at least? As I said before, there are differences in degree, a fair bit in these two cases, but the underlying issue is the same.
