Told you guys the men’s 5k at USA’s came down to who had the strongest mile speed. Hunter was able to make the 5000m because of it. Wolfe is going to displace the Fisher-Young-Blanks trio you guys love so much. I also predict Langon and Martin are going for it next year as well in the 5k, possibly sub 13. We’ve already seen less talented guys like Hoare and Knevelbaard run 13:03-13:04 this year.

^I meant Olin Hacker not Hoare. Goodness these names are way too similar, Hocker, Olin Hacker, Olli Hoare. Latter two are ridiculously close. There should be a separate thread on this lol.

For perspective, Nick Willis won the 2015 edition in 3:54.9 LOL. With Centro the top American back in 3:56.x. Insane progression in the mile.

definitely saying tjat the boy is close and what the focus is.
that said, kessler might have a 142 high in him this season, which still ii in elite no where land .
its a great spot to be in, as compared to the 99.999 percent of us in our best podition.

USA 4x2K could be very competitive like Aussies were on home turf. Hocker would be a beast at 2K XC if he’s up for it.
