If that's your view then all those who are opposed to doping in the sport must "enjoy being miserable". On the other hand, we may simply prefer a clean sport.
I believe there are top runners who dope, and I believe there are those who don't. If I thought ALL of the top runners were doping and didn't like any of them, I wouldn't keep following the sport.
Logically, what exactly do you think you're accomplishing by accusing all the top runners of being dopers? How does that contribute to a clean sport?
Why do you draw a line between "many" top runners are doping and "all"? What difference does it make? Why does it even matter to you what I think?
I don't actually say all are doping by the way, but that no one can be assumed clean at the top. That's a distinction you haven't been able to grasp.
I'm tired of threads being derailed by poorly thought out drug accusations.
Think about this logically. If Hocker is able to dope and get away with it, why wouldn't he dope all season and win everything. The idea that someone peaks when it matters most is a sign they most definitely aren't doping. We've seen his form improving all season long.
You haven't heard of "cycling" in doping? It's a common practice in doping to aim to peak for chosen events, to reduce the risks of being caught when doping all year round and to also reduce the risks of adverse effects to health.
Year-round consistency isnt a red-flag. But significant boosts in performance levels at given times are - and that is from WADA. You should be able to observe that with the numerous threads on this site expressing scepticism at spectacular progressions, which includes long periods of indifferent or even much lesser performances and then medal-winning efforts. The US track performances at the last Olympics drew exactly that kind of conjecture. That is because doping can enable that.

3:30 to 3:27 in the span of a month textbook suspicious. Hilarious.

I don’t think there’s a PED that results in a 3 second bump in 30 days. Does it work for only 30 days or is there a second improvement over the next 30?
A sudden improvement in a short period of time from doping does not logically require the improvement will continue at the same rate. It won't. There will be a ceiling.
The claim above isn't that the span for taking a drug was only 30 days but that it produced spectacular results within that period. That is what doping can do. The improvements are unlikely to be gradual and over a long period of time.

The thing is, Laros might actually be faster. He's been able to outkick everyone this outdoor season. He's a 1:44 low 800 guy and seems to have endurance that matches Hocker's. Laros will win the final.

You see what is the difference between an authentic horse and non authentic horse?
The one that make a runner like Wanyonyi win 3 Global DL titles straight and the one that make a runner run 1:42:01 then ranking 7 or 8 in the next week.

Even with officials protecting them, the list of North and East Africans who have been caught doping - so far - is staggering. It’s obvious the cultures themselves have no reservations at all when it comes to cheating. None at all.
Wanyonyi is coached by Berardelli, who has been proven to coach a stable of drug cheats. Phanuel, Mr. Out of Nowhere, is also coached by Berardelli. Where’s there is smoke…
Cole Hocker has not won even one 1500m/mile race since the Olympics and he can't even beat Ethan Strand. Only Americans think he has a chance of winning a world class championship race again. I would be surprised if he medals. He seems to me to be a poor man's Steve Cram but without the world records. Cram as 1 gold medal in a career or world class championship racing, the 83 1500m, After his career is over Cole may has the same numbers of gold medals. Cram had world records that endured a generation and perhaps Cole's Olympic record will endure several Olympic cycles, but we will see. .

Yet if he wins that wouldn't be suspicious, according to some.
