Does that mean 4th place USAs finisher Hana Moll goes to Tokyo as Katie Moon now has the bye?
The US already had the defending World Champ in Moon so we should get 4 vaulters either way. I'm curious if the voluntary tie by Moon and Kennedy in 2023 will give both the US and Australia an additional vaulter; I assume it will.
Ah I forgot that Moon and Kennedy shared the gold! Sadly Australia doesn't have any other qualifiers in the women's
Who was the guy that was just a guest on FloTrack's livestream broadcast? Based off the limited info I heard.... he got 5th in Tokyo? In a jumping event? And he's only 20 years old?

It’s such a shame that he won’t be there, despite this win - is there anything within USATF rules that dictates that Crouser should show fitness? I hope that RC is fit but if he is not and throws poorly, it sucks for Joe.
Maybe a little unnoticed, but women 3000m should be really exciting because there is a WC spot on the line for all of the Ethiopians and also if one of the Aussies wins, they could field 4 athletes in Tokyo too and same goes for Josette and team USA.
Well Kovacs could technically still go but it seems unlikely. If Crouser declines to go to Worlds because of injury, Kovacs would be in. The US is only allowed a single bye.
Mittons best throw has been removed because she left the ring before the shot landed. She's now 3rd and Schilder wins it.
🚨 Looks like Sarah Mitton has been bumped to third and Jessica Schilder is your Diamond League Champ!
On Sarah’s big throw it appears to have been a foul on two instances. One, the foot clipped the circle while recovering and she exited before the shot landed.
I think that was throw #2. I don't think I have ever seen a throw taken off the board after the competition has ended but this is the correct call. She absolutely was out of the ring at the end and lost her balance and exited before the shot landed. Cost her $23,000.
Canadian shot put star Sarah Mitton was stripped of her Diamond League Final victory on Wednesday following a successful protest of her winning throw. The Brooklyn, N.S., native's second attempt measured 20.67 metres, but was...

Same in the men's 3000 as a win by Grant punches Cooper's ticket to Tokyo.
Which now looks more like a certainly rather than a possibility with the pull-out of main rival Dominic Lobalu/SUI due to injury.
Based on outdoor prs, Grant is some 4.5 seconds faster than Ethiopian teen phenom Mehary who is the only other guy under 7:30.
And, if it rains as forecasted, Grant's experience in Lausanne should add to his advantage.
If I'm Cooper Teare, I'm starting to pack my bags for Tokyo.

I would agree that Grant is the favorite but it’s not going to be that easy. Weather could play a factor. George Mills is in the race and has a tendency to make races unpredictable. Blanks is also sub 7:30. The Ethiopians should push the pace weather permitting. Should an interesting 3000m.
