I’ll preface this by saying I don’t know who Gabe Jennings is, but assuming he was a professional runner, 10.9 rolling start hand timed is certainly a reasonable time. Probably equates to an 11 high FAT 100.
If Hocker can go sub 52 in a 13:26 it is even more certain that Jakob can do it since he aerobically is much stronger. And since he at least can run a 47 in the 400m with flying start.

There is no way Jakob could run 47 or thereabouts over 400. If he could he would be running 1:42 or better over the 800 with his endurance. He certainly wouldn't routinely be outkicked by runners in the 1500 who couldn't get near 47.
Your only point I agree with. Jakob probably runs 48 high given his immense endurance, if it were 47 he’d be well under the 1500 world record right now.

And I think the most telling part is he casually jogged at the end of it with no signs of strain. He’s ready to go, I suspect it’s him, Laros or Kerr getting gold.
Agree that Laros and Hocker are contenders (alongside a couple others), but why Kerr? He doesn’t seem as good as he was last year (no 3:45 mile, no major wins mid-late season).

Firstly, wtf was that Uber Eats ad promo...super cringe.
Secondly, Hocker has spent the first half of the season down playing his 800m / 1500m performances, sighting a focus on strength. Now the 1500m has reverted back to a 3:30, 200m burn up event, it looks like he is thinking "oh sh*t, I need to cram in some speed work". He is no longer the only guy in the field with the fastest close.

One of the principles of training - so simple you missed it - is to train for the events an athlete can succeed at. That is why he doesn't train for the 800. He isn't fast enough for the event. You never fail to show you don't know what you are talking about.
