Since 2020, Bol is 53-3 in the 400m Hurdles. Only losses were:
2021 World Championships Final - McLaughlin, Muhammed
2022 World Championships Final - McLaughlin
2024 Olympics Final - McLaughlin, Cockrell
Bol is really good, but it’s no coincidence the 3 losses are when she actually faces the best the event has to offer (eg Americans who don’t compete on the DL frequently).
They all compete in the Diamond League frequently, apart from Sydney. Femke has beaten Dalilah and Anna Cockrell a million times
Unfortunately both Muhammad and Cockrell are off the list for Silesia and since they're training buddies that seems more of a tactical decision than one based on injuries. Dalilah might be running the DL final in Zurich (28th of August), but I don't think Cockrell is allowed to run in the DL final (yet). Maybe they'll both chose the DL Brussels as a last competitive race before Worlds, but I think that one will be without Bol (according to her latest IG post).
5-6 times total at a DL meet for those two over 3-5 years, not a million times. So a couple times a season if that. It makes sense they don’t get to run the 200 for funzies at nationals and train in the US.

Actually, Bol has raced both women 10 times. She is 9 v 1 up on Cockrell, and 8 v 2 against Muhammad.
Bol hasn't lost to Muhammad since August 2021 in Tokyo. Her other loss was from 2019, the year Bol broke into the elite. 3 races were at Championships, 7 were on the circuit.
Her only loss to Cockrell was in Paris. She has raced her 3 times since and beaten her every time. 6 races were at Championships, 4 were on the circuit.
Bol has only raced McLaughlin 3 times in the last 6 years...all at Championships because McLaughlin refuses to compete on the DL circuit in the hurdles.

p.s let's see if Muhammad & Cockrell can run back-to-back 22.8s "for funzies"....methinks not when their PBs are 23.35 & 23.16 respectively.
How would DL work for Kessler? He currently has 0 points after his 10th place finish at Pre...his only DL race to date. Would he have to finish top 3 at Silesia and Brussels to get an invite to the DL final? Or would that not even be enough for him to get an invite? How many runners go to the final? And then you need to win the final outright (first place) to get into Worlds, correct? Not clear on how this all works.
Selesia will reveal if Kessler can actually progress to the next level ...or if it's time to completely rebuild himself via new coaching, revamped training or a completely different approach. Despite his success last year, his impressive range and PRs at a relatively young age, he still lacks the success to date of his peers. With Strand, Hoey, and Koech on the scene now Kessler seems to be going from USA's #3 miler to perhaps only our #6 runner.
His aerobic strength is lacking in comparison to the others and while his anaerobic strength is impressive, he hasn't been able to show adequate finishing speed to compete with all of the others yet. He has been able to nip Nuguse a few times this year but Nuguse is having an off year and except for a few minor wins, he still has yet to capture a significant or relevant win.
I'm personally still on the bandwagon, but with the emergence of Strand and Koech, plus Hocker, I'm almost ready to jump off and root for others unless he can start winning.
So you think Nuguse´s indoor mile WR race gave him a MINOR win?
But apart from that I agree that Nuguse hasn´t been close to his outdoor PBs yet this year.

I took out championships, but either way it’s not worth arguing. If they raced 5 DLs a year it might be different.
I guess you have short memories or biased blindness to make you not seeing Bol fans spreading hate towards Sydney all through the last year till now. they even spread false infomation everywhere trying to dispise Sydney by any means. Bol fans are delusional and hateful, someone biased like you are intentionly being hateful. frankly to say you are the worst.
According to a previous poster the Syd hater is an old lady in a nursing home.
The men's 1500m is a big field as they tend to be these days. 16 + 2 pacers.
The first 300m is going to be interesting to see who positions themselves where.
I get the feeling Myers will want to position himself near the front early on after having a few regretful races so far this year. But he will have to contend with the Americans, who all love front running to varying degrees and are all vying for a spot in the DL final. Throw in a Kenyan or two, and it will be thrilling going into the final lap.
I think Laros and Nordas are comfortable mid pack and will aim to cash in on those faltering at the front.
Making a DL 1500m starting list is rough.
The slowest guy (other than local runners) has a 3:30.60 PB. I wonder if Strand and J. Koech even tried.
In addition, Jakob, Kerr, Hocker, Habz (??), P Koech, Mills, Nader… are all missing from the starting list. There seriously needs to be a stronger Golden league system. Top guys can’t get into these DL races. It’s too crowded and as Reddy! said, the field is already too big. Someone will fall for sure.

You’re so sure those guys tried to get in? Jakob withdrew, Kerr/Hocker didn’t, Mills still hurt, Nader likely didn’t try, and it seems Phanuel Koech didn’t try either. The only rejection I’ve heard of is Olli Hoare (which is deserved).
Unfortunately for Bol and Bol fans, Anna and Daliah both have defeated Bol at the meet matters the most aka Olympic final. Casual viewers would remember Bol is the two time Olympics BRONZE medalists. No gold no even silver lol.
Sydney ran in US though. Last year she opened her season in Atlanta to run a 400mH event. Why Bol ‘refuse’ to go to US to challenge Sydney then? Can Bol fans tell me? lol
and since Bol NEVER run in US (except Worlds 2022), why you guys keep asking Sydney to run in Europe? The old fashioned eurocentric bs?
That's coz the majority - and best - of the DL & Continental Level meets are in Europe. It's where all the big stars go to compete. Except Sydney, of course. But the reality is, Europe is where it's at; the money, the fans, the best meetings, everything. Unfortunately you only have crappy small meets in the US.
Bol destroyed the field, winning by over 2 seconds. Sutherland DNS.
It was a good meet overall for the Dutch, as Klaver won the 400m in a SB, beating Sada Williams and Britton Wilson, amongst others, and Visser won the 100mh in a SB.
Klaver has set a SB in every race over 400m this season. I can't think of another elite 400 woman who's done the same this year. Sub 50 next I'd say.

Casual viewers know Bol mainly for her relay comebacks, they don't know Sydney let alone Anna and Dalilah

This thread is about the Silesia DL meet, not the CT Gold meet in Budapest.

I think the poster was picking up on my point that the Istvan meet was.... or would have been...a mini dress rehearsal for Silesia, as Sutherland was supposed to be running.
