Jim is the opposite. If he is leading it's great, if he takes the wrong trail, he starts crying, pouting and walks it in. Everybody else would just say "Sh!t", turn around and move on.

Strong mental capacity wins 10/10 times at the elite levels in many sports and games. I follow bowling and poker. The skill and talent level differences among elites is small. What distinguishes the GOATs from the other elites is how they handle themselves during long, rough stretches. The GOATs power through bad stretches mentally and eventually turn things around, while the wannabes melt down or ragequit because "it wasn't their day".

Jim is the classic example of this. The solar system has to be in perfect alignment for him to perform well. One minor niggle, one bad turn, non-optimal weather, itchy buttcrack, whatever -- he melts down. I also have a suspicion he intentionally avoids races with strong competition. He's a one trick WSER pony superstar (when everything is properly aligned), melted down at UTMB multiple times, and conveniently wins the year the competition skips out.

Killian is in a whole different league than Walmsley.

My research and experience shows that a specialty drugs plan or exclusive proprietary drugs regime is far more likely to lead to a successful and emotionally/financially satisfactory result for both athlete and coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
