Time to hop on the bandwagon. She is already better than Tuohy, close to Valby, and on the way to surpass Wiley and Monson. The future is shining gold!
I can’t think of anyone that went pro out of high school, and develop better than their peers. It’s a bad idea.
She will have a pretty good set up at BYU. Dad on faculty, her dream school, strong pro coaches Eyestone/Taylor, lots of young pros around for input. They will have a nice plan to deal with ncaa vs pro considerations.
She is already with Nike. They could look at other options, but staying Nike thru college NIL seems to make most sense.
This might be the best post so far. The BYU environment is very stable and aligns with the values of her family. I see no value going "pro". As of the moment, I hope she uses all her college eligibility as I feel it is a better path to development for a prodigy.
I think you’re forgetting that she was only 3rd in this race with at least one American not on your list beating her quite convincingly. not taking away from her amazing race but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let her continue to develop and she might compete on the world stage but she’s not there yet. If she wants to compete for the experience at USAs great but she’s not going to be competitive at Worlds even if she somehow against all odds gets a spot.
I was there and didn’t even know. The morning session had a stadium announcer to give insight on various runners. But there was no stadium announcer for the evening session.
I was trying to look back to see Jane's progression throughout high school. Anyone know why she didn't run NXN in 2023, the year Ritzenhein won? Was she injured that fall?

Hedengren was injured in both fall of 2022 and fall of 2023.
