How often does that happen? I'm curious what "all the time" means to you
It means about the same amount of time I see someone come here and write " we all know the race of the murderer " as soon as they check the race of the murderer to confirm it was a black person.
According to FBI statistics, 15% of white murder victims were killed by a black person. 8% of black murder victims were killed by a white person.
Also according to these statistics, approximately 48% of all murders were committed by a black person. Because about 90% of these murders were committed by men, we can then extrapolate that approximately 6% of the US population (the population of black men) is committing about 40% of murders in the country.
None of this is to say that ALL black men are violent or should be feared. But I would say the data suggests there are likely issues in some predominantly black areas that should be addressed. Most of it is probably gang violence, which seeps into youth culture.
The kid in this tragic instance likely grew up in a cultural environment where killing other men for "stepping into your territory" is acceptable and even required as a standard of masculinity. This then played out over a dispute over bleacher spots at a track meet.
Unpopular opinion but rotting away in jail is actually a pretty good punishment. Ask anyone who spent time in jail, it's boring, and soul crushing. Death is the easy way out.
It's crazy to me that amount of kids that just happen to have knifes/guns/other weapons on their personal belongings like it's an everyday thing. This was a kid, who was an athlete and apparent scholarship level football player and he's just carrying around a knife? Obviously the kid is to blame, but how about the parents? How do you not know your son is carrying around a weapon (most likely every day)? I remember the days were we just fought physically over stuff, then it was done. Now, kids and adults use weapons when in a fight or use a weapon before a fight even starts. I don't understand it at all and again questioning the parenting of some of these kids.
Why do you think inner city schools have metal detectors? A lot of the students carry guns.
Unfortunately, he does not meet the criteria for the death sentence in the state of Texas since, a) this was not capital murder, and b) he is under 18 years old.

Careful....You might get censored for revealng the truth...
If they didn't know each other, then my guess is that a substance played a role because a track meet isn't really a combative place. It could be a psychiatric med, PED, or even a regular med like prednisone. If you ever have to work with someone with anger or ego issues who is on prednisone it sucks. It's walking on eggshells to not set them off or deal with drama.
As mentioned before I'm a parent who is around these stands where teams setup quite a bit. It is a weird dynamic, I would say somewhat combative multiple teams, hot, bored kids, competitive, girls around, a bunch of verbalmanship back and forth "N" word etc...

Oh...So now you're saying someone called him the N word and it was a justified killing? Stop talking out of your azz...

that's a dumb conclusion on your part, I would have said it in my first post that started the thread if that was the case, I don't think it was and it hasn't been reported either. I simply said the "N" word is said quite a bit in these HS stands and it isn't white kids.
Then, another big dude who was in line for awhile in front of me, spun around and said to the other big dude, “I was right behind him the whole time and What in the hell is your problem!!!” and they both started to scream and shout at each other and it looked like it was going to go violent, so I just turned around and walked out and said “Gentlemen enjoy your coffee. Have a nice day!”
