They do a non-pro "distance festival" near me that's set up kids of like the TEN. Just heat after hear of mile races, all self-seeded, with people out there just trying to achieve something personally great. It's an awesome environment, and having a rabbit on pacing duty would fit the vibe perfectly.
Colleen hasn't been relevant to the running world since she left Nike in early 2021.
I'm not all that interested in celebrating every misstep or setback. it just is what it is. She has a great pro career. She made several US teams and can call herself an Olympian. She won a US title. She ran a 9:10 steeple. She engaged young girls in a really effective way that not many other runners can compete with.
She was a great addition to US running and had her impact. But it's over now. We don't have to keep talking about it.

Interesting take on the word "nonplussed." For me, growing up on the west coast (PNW), we always used that word in its second definition of "not overly concerned" (see below).

In any case, I can think of a dozen reasons off the top of my head that someone could be late with a coffee in hand.😱🤣 (e.g. Maybe her train was delayed and she got a cup while she waited. Maybe she already had a cup in the car, and hit an unexpected traffic jam due to a crash. You may lack a genius imagination, but this isn't hard to contemplate for most adults.)
