According to IAAF profile, Grace Hartman also ran 11.81 for 100m in high school. That would be fast enough to get the attention of some D1 schools as a sprinter.

Seriously? Pretty fast.
I don’t think that’s right I think that was a different athlete with the same name.
Below is the milesplit profile of NC State’s Grace Hartman. She went to high school at Oakwood. That’s a suburb of Dayton, Ohio.
Only one way to find out for sure. Hope someone interviews her outdoors after she pops another big time personal best and ask her if she ever ran 11.81 for 100m 🤔😁
She’s gonna have all the NC State records, 1500 through 10k by the time she graduates, imho
Uhhhhhhh … Biiiiiig Hartman fan here, she’s terrific, but Tuohy’s 3000m record wasn’t put under threat all season by anyone in the NCAA. That record might stand for a very long time.
I’ve followed Ohio T&F and XC for many years. There’s been a lot of good talent from Ohio to NC State over the years.
Connie Jo Robinson, Laurie Gomez (Henes), Laurie’s husband, Bob, Mercer (Woodridge runner. Can’t remember 1st name Bob Henes also a Woodridge runner), Dominique Clairmonte, Sam Bush, Gace Hartman, and I know I’m missing a few.
NC State fans will be happy with another Buckeye arriving in Raleigh this fall. Dani Scheffler could be the most talented out of Ohio yet. I contributed to this forum when Grace committed and I hyped her. I’m as excited or even more excited about Scheffler.
She’s not flying under my radar. Daniela Scheffler is a legit talent, particularly on the grass. Looking forward to seeing her run this Fall, even if it’s only unattached. She’s another one like Hartman and Bush that did not over-race as a junior runner.
Are you sure they didn't mess up the time or something??? That's a whole 60 seconds faster than the track record and 67 faster than her PR!
nope she ran all 25 laps. Pacer was on prescribed 31:50 pace but Hartman decided that was not fast enough before 5000 in. Lapped all but one I believe.
I missed that Naukot fell back to a group of 3, so all 4 of these did not get lapped.....

No she didn't.
I've known plenty of women who can run around 2 flat in the 800 and none of them could run 11.81 in the 100. It's either a typo or a different Grace Hartman.

I mentioned it up in the thread a bit that it’s probably a different Grace Hartman. Those profiles are often wrong. I posted Grace’s high school Milesplit profile also.
Crazy to think that Hartman now has the #3 all-time NCAA times in the mile and the 10k. I didn’t think she was going to crack 15 in the 5 until next year but I’m beginning to think she’ll get it this year.

Sorry dude but this isn’t very hard to dispel…her WA profile has her running 60m indoors in Mankato, MN every year from 2017 (when THE Grace Hartman was 13) through 2021.

I think Hartman has a shot at it, and if you mean Tuohy’s mark will stand as the NCAA record for a long time, don’t bet on it. Hartman was one of 14 women at 8:46 or faster this year. You’ve got 12 women from 4:23 to 4:26 in the mile. You’ve got Lemngole running 14:52 & 8:41 as a sophomore and Kosgei 8:44 and 15:00 as a frosh. High schoolers running record times like Hedengren at 15:13 and 4:26y. I seriously doubt Tuohy’s record will last another 5 years.
Hartman will have plenty of competition that is going to challenge her - regardless of whatever distance she wants to focus on. The NCAA has incredible talent right now, especially 400m on up.
Paityn Noe is a year behind her in school and has been nipping at her heels consistently.
