Clayton Murphy retired in May. It was reported on LR, and literally on NBC.
This person wasn't misinformed. The post was written in March 2025, before Murphy retired. The July that person meant was obviously July 2024, though I'm not sure why you wouldn't mention his 2024 season best of 1:44.80 instead.
