When he first raced in England, in a track 10000m, Athletics Weekly described him as having the form of a man "running on hot coals" and added "but, we're informed that is his usual form of locomotion.."
I was scrolling through to see if anyone said Nuguse. Bingo. His arm carriage is a bit wafty for me, but his stride and movement is very smooth, effortless, and, most of all covers ground--a lot of it with long strides and forward motion.
Nuguse runs with a lisp
He pulls it off better than Nico Young, but they could both use just a tinge more of that masculine yang energy
A lot of top international class guys would benefit to incorporate more of that yin energy those two transmit so well, but their egos will never allow it
Men: Mo Farah, Abdi Bile, Paul Tergat, Jacob Kiplimo, Mehdi Baala, Seb Coe, Asbel Kiprop, Bernard Lagat, Dieter Baumann, Mo Ahmed, Carlos Lopes, Salvatore Antibo, Saleh Hissou, Galen Rupp, Selemon Barega, Stefano Baldini, Eliud Kipchoge, Tamirat Tola, Wilson Kipketer, + many others, too numerous to mention.
Women: Femke Bol, makes running look so easy at high speed, mind boggling ease of movement.
Abdi Bile (Somali: Cabdi Bile Cabdi, Arabic: عبد بلي عبد; born 28 December 1962) is a former middle distance runner. He holds the highest number of national records in athletics in Somalia across various disciplines. He is cu...
Looks like Abdi Bile is now an American citizen and his sons are very good runners as well. Sadly his career was blighted by injuries otherwise I firmly believed he would have been an Olympic champion.
Phenomenal PB's of 1:43.60, 3:30.55, 3:49.40. In the 1980's! Teleported to the present era with super shoes and everything else I firmly believe he would have been at the top of the world.
World Champion, 1500, Rome, 1987. Bronze, Stuttgart, 1993.
Watch him on YouTube - his running action was so easy and deceptive. He would start at the back of the field and just move up easily with that deceptive stride.
