We ran 4k (girls) in HS XC and my freshman year I ran about 24:00 in our last meet of the season (can't find the results but I remember being excited that I just barely broke 10:00 pace) to 16:40 my sophomore year. My mile time went from 8:12 to 5:50. By the time I graduated I'd run 15:50
