Not sure why this comment isn’t classified as spam? Those mods have some nasty double standards on me? Maybe they are just jealous that Im vying to be better than Khamis.
The AR in the 10K (on the track) was 27:13.98 until Solinsky ran 26:59 in May 2010. That doesn't seem very long ago! It's a brave new world...
Bah it’s the shoes dude! Wake up. For the clean dudes, the shoes make the difference while for the dirt dudes you know what else is contributing needless to say…..
looks like they're going 28 flat 10k all the way pace .... in the maratoon
It’s not so straightforward actually. It’s an exponential physiologic decline with distance and not linear. It doesn’t means the full marathon times have to have some y=mx + c relationship with the half.
Hope you were not speaking to me as my comment got unfairly erased. Not sure what it was about now but I did praise exuberantly Kejelcha so if you had an issue with that maybe it isn’t
Kejelcha has been scooting his gangly frame around for quite a while now. He’s been fun to watch
I do remember that when he was under Salazar and I’m very well surprised that I didn’t feel that Salazar was doping kejelcha one bit. I don’t know why but it seems Salazar respected East African ability a lot and merely relied on training techniques to improve them and not drugs.
And he ran it in really bad conditions. I only saw the race in the last 15 minutes but there were huge puddles on the roads.
puddles? it sounds brutal.
He is making it up I didn’t see none. It was only wet and it wasn’t puddled in one place unless you were too close to the drainage or curb. Overall I felt it was not that bad condition for half marathon. 12 degrees isn’t that cold for a half. Where I come from could be much lower than that in the winter.

Enough to make your shoes heavier and make you lose 1 second. Enough for you to slow down on turns and lose 1 second. Yomif beat the world record by 1 second.
Did you make a mistake. Yomif didn’t blame no wet soaked shoe for slowing down near the end. He only said he had trouble turning right which wasn’t related to water but slipperyness. Pls read between the lines.
I'm impressed that Kejelcha didn't have to walk at any stage of the race. Usually that's a requirement for someone who says they will be the greatest runner who ever existed.
I love your awesome vibes in accordance with Khamis the RF King. You always have that ability to have the final say and be the final arbiter of reason! Impressed much! Jakob is really a metrosexual feminine based prima donna unlike masculine greatness
We have a bunch of guys can run 57:30 or even faster , so slowing 7"/km in the marathon now Is very very realistic and so 1:59:59 Is now around the corner
Not with the current generation of shoes and the invisible physiologic neurologic weakening caused by extensive and intrusive electromagnetic technologies. You will need rocket propellers and propane fuel on top of the shoes to run 1:59:59. Otherwise sweet dreams
What do you think about Jakob’s 7:17.55? You act as if his most important race this year was the HM in Copenhagen.
For him it WAS his most important race this year. He posted probably well over 100 times making "fun" about his performance. It gave his life some new importance. What a life it must be...
Have you ever ran one step? You would know what I mean dude. Your best races can be run when you psyche yourself in reverse and go into it thinking to take it easy and chill out

Nobody will break 2 on a legit course in the next 10 years or maybe far longer than that, it could take a generation for it to happen
Doubt it. We are only 36 seconds (less than 1 s/km) away from that. And several people have ascribed a large part of Ruth's 5 minute improvement to the better shoes.
Or look at the history:
From 1993 - 2003: 2:06:50 - 2:04:55: improvement of 1:55
From 2003 - 2013: 2:04:55 - 2:03:23: improvement of 1:32
From 2013 - 2023: 2:03:23 - 2:00:35: improvement of 2:48
We'll see a legit sub-2 before 2034 for sure. Likely before the end of this decade.
Laughable comment here. The fastest marathon this year is ages slower than Kiptum’s most probably doped up 2:00:35. The 95th percentile is only around 2:03 or 2:04 this year which isn’t much different from what the best guys ran close to 20 years ago on poorer shoes. I say you need rocket propellant to make the leap to 1:59 with no drugs.

You are extremely annoying and your posts are garbage. Pls read between the lines.

There is a new world record holder in the men's 3000m after a stellar performance in Poland.Watch Live sports on CBC Sports' website here: https://www.cbcspo...
Learn history: among the Olympic years (e.g., no Berlin for most big shots etc.), 2024 was the best ever, with 9 runs under 2:04 (next best Olympic year: 4x) and a world lead of 2:02:16 (next best Olympic year: 2:03:03). 20 years ago, no one had run 2:03 yet.
Marathon best times per year 2024: 2:02:16 (3x 2:02, 6x 2:03) – Olympic year (Valencia still to come) 2023: 2:00:35 (1x 2:00, 2x 2:01, 1x 2:02, 6x 2:03) 2022: 2:01:09 (2x 2:01, 1x 2:02, 4x 2:03) 2021: 2:03:36 (3x 2:03) – Olympic year 2020: 2:03:00 (4x 2:03) – Covid 2019: 2:01:41 (1x 2:01, 2x 2:02, 5x 2:03) 2018: 2:01:39 (1x 2:01, 2nd best 2:04:00) 2017: 2:03:32 (3x 2:03) 2016: 2:03:03 (4x 2:03) – Olympic year 2015: 2:04:00 – pre super shoes 2014: 2:02:57 (1x 2:02, 1x 2:03) 2013: 2:03:23 (3x 2:03) 2012: 2:04:15 – Olympic year

I’m surprised a runner like Kejelcha was gapped by almost 100 meters within two laps by that runner.
Kejelcha doesn't say he aspires to the 3k record but is the world record-holder in the event that Ingebrigtsen claims is his best. There's only about 6 minutes between them.
It's well known that most of Jakob's competitors respect him as an athlete and acknowledge his ability. Perhaps you could stand to learn from their attitude.

People respect Jakob as an athlete. Nobody respects Trollstronglivs.
