Those companies run in spite of Elon, not because of him. Especially SpaceX -- giving Elon credit for the work of the engineers is hilarious. Elon has provided capital and not much else.
He is far more engaged and integral than most CEOs
As a car lover, I hate it, but the Cyber Truck is a success. It’s god awful looking, but it’s capabilities are objectively impressive and more importantly, it’s selling. No normal engineer came up with this vehicle, that is material come to life through the vision of a strange genius billionaire, and it actually works.
Rivian has done far more exciting things. You are crazy to think by putting more software in a car he's some kind of genius. If anything this says A LOT about your ignorance and incompetence!
First, I don't think either of them understands that the president is not king and cannot create a federal department by decree.
Second, a great way to reduce government waste and inefficiency would be to eliminate consumer tax credits that subsidize electric vehicles and eliminate the sale of EV tax credits from one car maker to another ($1.79 Billion of Tesla's profits in 2023). Government needs to get out of the business of picking economic winners and losers by rigging the tax code.
Elon is one of the great rent seekers in history who has built Tesla and SpaceX on direct taxpayer funds and tax subsidies. Anyone who actually believes in free enterprise can only hope that he will continue to make decisions based on weed, mushrooms, and ketamine and eventually stop looting the US taxpayers.
Not a right-wing fan of Trump or Musk, but I give the guy credit for figuring out how to build, scale, and profit from electric cars. Still the only one who has been able to do that...
Also, I think he did exactly what he intended to do with Twitter. I think that was the plan all along. Run it into the ground.
if "into the ground" means the wokes crying and leaving for Threads, sure
no more censorship, and currently the #1 social media platform in the world, most users by far. Facts is facts

Yes. Old wine--robber baron--in new bottles--technology. The basic motives and slight-of-hand remain unchanged. He and Trump belong to the ancient brotherhood of three-card-Monty and snake-oil purveyors. The same old mob of suckers buy their crap and love being conned.

You're dense.
"it's called X now"
Due to inept marketing perhaps a better name would be "X, formerly known as Twitter."
"if "into the ground" means the wokes crying and leaving for Threads, sure"
Woke is an adjective, not a noun, bright boy.
"no more censorship, and currently the #1 social media platform in the world, most users by far."
Also, as of this month, it isn't even in the top 10 of all social media platforms.
Crazy to think he took a worldwide recognizable brand name, Twitter, and changed to it to generic name like X just because he's got a weird stiffy for the letter. Revenue has dropped significantly, users down, and he uses it to push his agenda on everyone.
I still use it, but don't pay for it, and muted musk because my feed had became musk and all his retweets even without following him or engaging in any of his content.
Musk is purely using fatso for the influence/power he can wield from it. He knows with flattery and he can manipulate dumpy into whatever he wants, and he'll get more gov't handouts and tax breaks for himself if he cozy's up to the former prez.
Its hilarious how the MAGATS have fallen in love with musk...the green energy electric vehicle maker that gets gov't handouts, while also providing all those electric driving libs huge tax credits. Everything the crazy conservatives b*tch about with dems & their green policys they're now on their knees to musk for. He's played you.
