Andrews is coming back into form. The previous video clip posted on the thread indicates she is coming back into smooth form. She almost kicked down KT today. So going back to the 5000m, Andrews can be a strong contender to make the 2025 5000m team!🔥
For me, highlight of the meet was Ky Robinson's 3:52.79 for 2nd place behind Pihlstrom. Prior PR was a 3:55 indoor mile last year at UW Dempsey.
More impressive, he beat 3:33/1500 guy Suliman as well as 3:31/1500 guy Ciattei. Not bad for a 5k/10k guy.
Ky just didn't quite have the fitness this year to make the Aussie 5k team: 5th at his national championship meet back April while just missing the 13:05 Oly Q with his 13:06.42 mark at BU back in December.
Paris simply came around one year too early for Ky.
However, still only 22, Ky should be mixing it up with the world's best at the 2028 LA Olympics . . . while being a potential Australian Olympic hero four years later in Brisbane.
This race by Tuohy reminded me some of her 1500s as a freshman (2021) when she was in it for 1350 or so and then just got dropped as she ran out of gas.

Looking at her in the side-view clip posted earlier (she comes into view at the tail-end) with 210m to go, she was working wide open, while Markezich was still cruising waiting to kick at that point.
With her current fitness, I wonder how many more seconds faster Markezich would finish in a faster-paced race. She surprised me. We might see her in DL this season, yes?

I would hope Markezich could get into a DL 3000s (maybe Rome?). A sub 4 1500 would seem too quick for her to me at this point.
One can also see the strain on Tuohy's face in the last 150, and with about 50 to go her head drops.
All four of those on the same team training together in Boulder (Ramsden, Markezich, Sage and Andrews) could be special.
…if Ritz can keep them from one-stepping and destroying each other. He was using lactate measurements in a recent McDonald workout. I don’t know how long they have been using that tool, but maybe it will help in metering/throttling efforts going forward.
Wonder how it feels to lose to your two new teammates who just finished college.
Hurta-Klecker ran a 4:19 earlier this month. She does not look as smooth as Olivia, but can crank some decent times when she is on.

I might have overreacted seeing Markezich finish ahead of Ramsden and Hurta-Klecker (who I pegged as the favorite pre-race); frankly, 4:24 is a big gap from 4:19.
