What happens if there is no DNA match and never any felony charges? Even with no match, the police will have to concoct something to save face with the public out for blood. But these kid's lawyers will have a field day filing 46 claims against Duke and others who destroyed their names and reputations.

First thing is first- uh, didn't UNC win the championship last year? And didn't UNC beat Duke, in Durham, spoiling their senior night this year? I'd also be willing to bet a large sum that UNC will dominate the ACC next year. But I digress.

I'll agree with you about one thing- if this woman fabricated bogus allegations, then it is a terrible, terrible thing. However, is the damage done to 46 as-of-yet anonymous guys' reputations as bad as the damage done to a woman who is raped? The answer is, unequivocally, no. If you disagree, then i suggest that you spend some time with rape victims. Yes, it is outrageous how the media has taken the story and run with it before all of the facts have been set straight. But, again, no individuals have been charged with any crime yet. I don't think that the argument can be made that anyone on that team is ruined for life (the only jackass who really dug himself a hole was the emailer). It is a shame that the real issue will be lost amidst all of the blustering back-and-forth; that issue being the pervasiveness of sexual assault in the college setting. For every one bogus accusation that is made, there are many, many more actual victims who remain silent.

Dude, are you retarded? If this woman made up the allegations, then obviously the players have been screwed over. No one is saying differently. The original (incorrect) argument that gonchar tried to make was that what has happened to the players, with regard to their reputations, is worse than the trauma caused to a woman who is ACTUALLY raped.

On a side note, there is allegedly no DNA evidence to show that she had sex of any kind. Thus, your moronic assertion that she 'got drunk, had sex, and climaxed' is probably one of the dumbest things I have ever read in my life.

In response to the person above commenting that she is lower on the totem pole due to the fact that she is a stripper: Did you know that given the ever increasing costs of attending college and university more and more woman (who happen to be attractive) or chosing this as a way to supplement their income. Given that these students may work in a classier establishment but just becuase you are a stripper does not actually lower your standing on the totem pole (whatever the hell that means anyway).

I'm not saying this is the case in this instance (facts would indicate otherwise) but if you were a very attractive 20 year old college girl would you work one night a week for 400 bucks, or 6 nights a week as a waitress for 400 bucks.

60 minutes is very pro DUKE as they have alumni and rich friends lobbying to get rape case dropped, which it probably will be. Kim Roberts would say anything for a few bucks. 3 INDICTED laxers will come across well but will be shading the truth to say the least, poor litle rich boys.scum in my book.
