I hate how they had to interview Athing who came in 3rd in her heat even though they'd been interviewing the heat winners the whole broadcast so far - guess they have to stick with their 10 predetermined storylines or whatever...

Disgusting is a bit strong. She’s an Olympic and world champion gold medalist and the most talented mid D runner in US women’s history and one of the faces of the sport in the USA. The outsized attention is totally understandable.
