No BETHANY MICHALAK listed in the entries on Dyestat.... Mistake? Or is she not running?
Only 6 Academy entries.
Am I missing something?

she's listed at the top of the entries separate from her team for some reason. Same with Simmons and AF on the boys side.
Tully looks about right to me.
I think Simmons wins -- 8:34 is no joke. He is a Nico-esque talent. Clay Shively and others has a shot if Simmons or others don't push, though. 3:59 is also no joke. Noonan, Neil, Grevious in the mix.
They do that for the top returner

yup Simmons should be "1" and Michalek "201", right?

Little late to the party here, but Simmons has to be the odds on favorite. He’s running better than last year when he took second.
Regarding people earlier in the thread talking about Noonan running Simmons down, I really doubt that happens. Danny goes out conservatively every race and pours it on the last mile. Last year he moved up big time the last mile to finish second. Even though he is a 1:57 guy, he can close like a freight train. Remember he almost out-kicked Birnbaum at arcadia.
I would add Landon Heemeyer out of the northwest into the mix. Last year he got 9th at champs/footlocker by just sitting in the mix the whole race.
Joe Barrett from New Jersey put up crazy good numbers at pretty much every race he went to.
Austin Westfall and JoJo Jordoun also both have shown remarkable ability to mix it up with the best.
Predictions:
Simmons/Neil - 14:4x
Grevious/Noonan/Mechura/Perez/Heemeyer/Putz/Valyo/Todd/Westfall/Jordoun - 14:5x-15:0x
Juan Gonzalez is another one to watch out for.
It will be interesting to see how Clay Shively does. He won the Griak race with a faster time than Breker and Heidesch. There was a lot of talk by the Milesplit crew and on these boards earlier in the year about him contending for the national title.
He only took 5th at NXR and I heard in an interview that he had leg problems at that time and he is going for a national title

he scratched. His name is not on the entries and #6 heartland took his place
Westphall didn’t qualify
If Mechura is in better than 20th place at the mile, he will win. He has an immense long range kick. With the punchy uphill with ~150m to go, he will fly up
it and earn his winning gap there. The only race he did not win this season was Griak, a course with a gentle downhill slope for the final 300m which Clay Shively used to great effect. Some mud and hills perfect for a short runner with a super high cadence. Mechura will be your NXN champion!
Utah’s Austin WestFALL 4th at NXR SW
Michigan’s Thomas WestPHAL didn’t run NXR. He won Footlocker Midwest

As a Minnesotan, I’ve seen Mechura run several times this season, including at Griak, State, and NXR.
His finishing kick is formidable. If he’s anywhere near the front from that final dual-rise to the line, watch out!
ive talked to the american fork boys and it is mind blowing how like confident they are that they'll beat herriman so just saying thats there

What is that supposed to mean? What if Herriman boys are confident that they'll beat American Fork? Then what?
He got destroyed over the last 500m at NXR. If that race was 100m longer he would have been out of the top 5. Watch how dead he was the last stretch. I think top 20 is more realistic.
I think this is a pretty good guess.....
I have been on hand for three of Nathan Neil's races this year (all the big ones) and no one has really run with him yet.
All of his races go like this. Takes the first mile slow (#9 at NXR) and about the five minute mark lays down the hammer from 2K-4K. Coasts to victory.
Now at NXN he will have company. Danny Simmons can run with anybody and definitely has a better kick than Neil. However, Neil wins if he puts 10-15 seconds on the chase pack during his surge. Byron Grevious will be hanging on for dear life to take third. Valyo and Mechura 20 meters back followed by Putz, Todd and Noonan.
