Vin Lananna is a cheat. He abused the grant-in-aid system at Stanford and got 35 guys out for cross country on some form of financial assistance at Stanford. His wife worked her magic in the grant/admissions office at Stanford and guys were getting Farmer's Aid grants and all that. He ended up getting major NCAA violations that are all documented. This would be the reason he had to leave Stanford. Vin is perfect fit at an unethical program. Vin was right back to his unethical self at Oregon and USATF and it caught up to him once again.
You're just envious because the bus doesn't come when you call.
Or the correct answer would be:
Most in Track & Field don’t like Vin Lananna because of his past and how he treats others.
Oh the irony. When someone is hating on Vin, it’s because he deserves it for the way he treats others.
When someone hates on the person responsible for hating on Vin here, it’s because they are haters who are just jealous of his success and need help because they are so pathetic.
The funniest part is the accomplishments of Vin are beyond comparison with the other joker.

I don’t know your reference or angle. I’m a coach in the midwest. What I’ve see Vin Lananna do and how he treats others gives me the right to comment. I don’t care if you agree or if you’re his assistants at UVA. Vin did this to himself. He deserves the criticism

If you’re really a coach, then grow a spine and say who you are. It’s cowardly for a coach to anonymously badmouth another coach on a public forum.
Hi Trevor. My advice is to ignore the hate. Why do you care so much. It’s Vin they are calling out. Just get you’re coaching experience and move on
Thanks but I’m not Trevor (although I’d love to have his PR’s). I’m just someone who has admired Vin’s accomplishments since he was at Stanford, and I hate to see someone who has done so much for the sport get slandered.

Anyone else notice a big change in Lananna Lately?
Lananna, Brosnan, Salazar, Centrowitz Sr. They all exude an enormous amount of narcissistic ego. While they have left, each in their own way, some positive impacts on American running, their various levels of psychological toxicity can’t be dismissed. It’s unfortunate that the vast majority of adults, or teens, they work with are very young and not yet attune to the ways in which these dudes cajole, coerce, and douche it up all in the name of competitive excellence.
Props on starting a dumb thread to get attention, my personal favorite threads to start myself. Not much evidence to suggest Vin is more angry than usual really, well done getting this to be a top thread though.
