+1
If he had run the mile in Brüssel instead of the 2000m he would broken the WR.
That means he is about .5 second awayfrom the 1500m WR which I agree is the most difficult TRACK WR to break for him. This also his own opinion. But if he is one level up next year (as usual) he can take if he gets a race under good condition.
As you said: He already has the 3000m and the 5000m which are his best events at the moment.
The 10000m: As I just wrote in another thread people will be surprised (and the haters chocked and depressed) when he runs his first competitive 10000m or 10k. He has trained all his life as a LONG DISTANCE RUNNER. His way of running, including his steps, everything is adapted to long distance. He explains it very clearly in a Norwegian interview from early 2020. In this interview he also stated that his current best distance was the 5000m and in the long term the HM. THOUGHTSLEADER STUBBORNLY CONTINUE TO POSTULATE THAT THE 3000M IS HIS SWEET SPOT ignoring that Jakob since that interview has owned the 5000m.
It was before DL Florens 2021, Eugene and Múnchen 2022 and Budapest 2023.
Yes with some training he can get the steeple too. He is at least 7:20in the 3000m. El-Bakkali is high 7:33.
When he states himself that the HM eventually becomes his best event I trust him.He knows his training times better than any of us.
The marathon: I doubt he will ever run it.
