Ingebritsen global wild card in 3k/5k. The clout he has is quite amazing. He already had a 1500 changed to 2000. Now he has the 5k changed to 3k in the final.
also Laros men's mile Broeders men's pole vault.
Tbh, Jakob deserves that clout. Every meet, he turns up and gives an amazing effort, he's as close as you can get to a guarantee of a fast race. And he turns up regularly, no one races more than him on the top level circuit. Any clout he has, he's earned
Wiley not being on the start list confirms absolutely nothing about her going or not going pro. Wiley simply didn't have enough Diamond League points to get in.
Not sure why people are tying to read things into it that aren't there.
Does Mu have enough Diamond League points to be in this meet?
I don't know where you got that idea, he's not entered. Here is the full list of Ugandan men: 474 Abel CHEBET 475 Ali CHEBURES 476 Leonard CHEMUTAI 477 Hosea KIPLANGAT 478 Jacob KIPLIMO 479 Keneth KIPROP 480 Andrew Rotich KWEMOI 481 Abu MAYANJA 482 Dismas YEKO
If letsrun is in contact with the race organizers, would you please find out what pace the wavelights will be set to for the mile and the 3 km. (and post the information here)?
I fully agree with some other commenters…I have nothing but respect for Mu since she went and competed at the WC’s and lost…and now is running again unexpectedly. Learning to lose is the best way to become a true champion. Mu faced no adversity in her career yet. I see this as nothing but a positive.
Yes, but Mu is only running this as she is under contract to Nike, whereas McLaughlin isn't. You can bet if she could, Mu would be on her holiday right now.
