So you admit that your accusations are often predicated on whether an athlete is really good? So you have no clue other than if they are too fast for your notion of a clean zone? What are the clean limits? I ask you because you are an expert.
Didn't you know? Astro and armstrongliv have magical powers that enable them to discern exactly who is doping and who is not.
Does this count as a handshake from a competitor?? More devastating news for the haterzzz
FloTrack is mistaken. While Mu's 1:57.73 is the fastest IN SEASON mark, the fastest all-dates marks are listed in post #2 of this thread. Wiley's time today will not count as an IN SEASON time but it will be listed on the all-dates list.
Did not Mu announce she went pro before she ran her 3 fastest "out of season" marks so perhaps that is what is behind the Flotrack post. Wiley would have fastest in/out of season mark by a non-pro "collegiate" runner.
The future of American milers (AND 800 runners) looks bright - and her name is ADDY WILEY!
1:55.04 – Athing Mu (US) – Texas A&M – August 21, 2021 (Prefontaine Classic) 1:55.21 – Athing Mu (US) – Texas A&M – August 3, 2021 (Olympic Games) 1:56.07 – Athing Mu (US) – Texas A&M – June 27, 2021 (Olympic Trials) 1:57.64 – Addison Wiley (US) – Huntington – September 4, 2023 (Gala Dei Castelli) 1:57.73 – Athing Mu (US) – Texas A&M – April 16, 2021 (Michael Johnson Invitational) 1:58.07 – Athing Mu (US) – Texas A&M – July 31, 2021 (Olympic Games) 1:58.33 – Claudette Groenedaal (US) – Oregon – August 16, 1985 1:58.40 – Athing Mu (US) – Texas A&M – February 25, 2021 (SEC Indoor Championships) 1:58.51 – Brigita Langerholc (Slovenia) – USC – September 25, 2000 (Olympic Games) 1:58.55 – Michaela Meyer (US) – Virginia – June 27, 2021 (Olympic Trials) 1:59.00 – Addison Wiley (US) – Huntington – August 4, 2023 (Ed Murphey Classic) 1:59.04 – Laura Roesler (US) – Oregon – June 28, 2014 (USATF Championships)
Your list is incorrect. Those top 3 times from Athing Mu were run when she was a professional athlete representing Nike, NOT as a college athlete representing Texas A&M.
She ran a 4:26 1600 in high school. Her progression isn’t wild. Pretty sure she ran a 2:00-2:01 as well. Her 4:03 1500 is equivalent to 4:22-4:23 1600… again in a year, without injury and consistency a drop of 2-3 seconds is not unheard of. This 1:57 by all means is a huge jump but after an 1:59.00 earlier this season, isn’t all that shocking in the right race. Definitely exciting to see a talent of this level - haven’t been this excited since Mary Cain. Until she tests positive I will root for her. She is a legit medal threat next year at the Olympics if she stays healthy!

WA shows her 800 progression as 2:04.64 in 2021, about the same in 2022 and now 1:57.64 in 2023

You are correct about that. Mu announced it in mid-June so some of those marks were afterward. However, for some reason, USTFCCCA (the list you posted) still lists them as Texas A&M. That is the list I go by. You'd have to ask USTFCCCA why they list them as "Texas A&M."
Texas A&M freshman Athing Mu announced her decision to pursue a professional career in track & field and forgo her remaining three years of collegiate eligibility.
So proud of Adds!!! This is incredibly fast - no doubt the future does indeed look bright with her. She's done this while coming through a tough situation with an amazing degree of class and grace. She's fun to watch because she looks like she's enjoying it.
Who is coaching Addy? Everyone knows the scandal, but who is actually coaching her right now?
THE new big three of American middle distance coaching: Austin Roark, Josh Neideck, and Coach Coby (personally responsible for multiple NAIA All Americans).

Her HS PR was 2:04.41 from the Brooks PR meet in June 2021. Her best as a senior was 2:04.64 at Nike Outdoor Nationals in June 2022.
In February, she ran her first collegiate 800 indoors in 2:02.33 and ran the mile at Camel City around the same time in 4:32.15 (1133 WA points).
She didn't run another serious 800 until the Ed Murphey meet in August where she ran 1:59.00. The couple she ran in between were basically "run to win" races at the NAIA level where she ran 2:04-2:05.
She has since dropped her 1500 to 4:03.22 (1180 WA points) and the 1:59.00 was also 1180 WA points. This 1:57.64 is a nice bump to 1205 WA points, equivalent to 4:00.12 for 1500.
