Also want to add that the weather could actually line up insanely well now. Showers are expected to stop at 9pm, temps in the mid 60's with little to no wind. Air quality will be perfect, tons of negative ions - if the track surface drains enough by 9.30pm then we could see something special.
We’ll see, Sowinski can only make 900 at that pace. I remain skeptical but it’s possibly Jakob thinks of this like the Kiprop 2015 race where he just ripped it knowing he’d be alone.
I think the organizers erred with Sowinski as a second pacemaker when he should be a 1. I bet he drops off at 900. Girma looked OK today but he didn’t look particularly aggressive, which means I see Jakob alone-ish for the last 600. He can do enough to win but Silesia might be where he goes for a faster time with a better field likely with Kenyans, Katir, OAC guys et al.
For the top 3 you might as well skip the race as I project them.

Was it not also you who predicted “Nuguse” to beat Katir the poet of style and wisdom. To say nothing of your prognostications for the Nordic Berserker.
Always a calculus for you. Now you can jubile with your babe cherry in a faster track.

No idea what you mean but I predicted too fast for Katir
In a world without doping, then I'd agree with you 100%.
Why? Do you think the non-Africans have superior genetics, or just a better work ethic?
No idea, and it doesn't interest me. I'm just extrapolating from the manifest fact that there is a rampant doping culture in East Africa. There can be hundreds of different reasons why some countries produce more talent than others, not just genetics and 'work ethic'. Why are there 50% less Kenyans running world class 1500m times than 25 years ago, despite supershoes giving at least a second advantage, and despite the Kenyan population doubling? Have Kenyan genetics declined in the last 25 years, or has their work ethic declined?
PS : I was rising to the bait of a Jama Aden shill, the likes of which you - as a mod - do nothing to stop. Though that isn't surprising given that you've stated here that you would cheat with peds if it turned you into a world beating runner.

Sorry that was me doing a mishmash of lines from our friend here.
You didn’t take into account several factors, which is why you were off. The pacemaking was not going to be capable of taking Jakob through to splits that would produce sub-3:28. That was your first blunder. Then you predicted Kerr would beat Girma by a big margin in a pedestrian time. Even with Girma’s inexperience, short turnaround and sub-ideal first 800 meters, he’s in better shape and a more substantial talent than Kerr. It was surprisingly close because Kerr ran pretty perfectly pacing-wise and tactics for his fitness. So missing on that was a miscalculation unless Girma had really screwed up early on, which he nearly did. Next your times for 2 and 3 were off in part due to your estimate of pacing. Kerr had Jakob to pace off of the whole way so the margin was never gonna be that large in a 3:28 mid race. Lastly good job on Giles, although you were way fast for him I’m impressed by 3:31.5. Gourley clearly didn’t handle the turnaround from Ostrava well, which I didn’t factor properly.
