I’d expect that to be huge for schools like Bethel and St. John’s in football. It seems like most runners that would have an additional year or two are likely to run up a division or two like Wilkerson and Bocovich. It might be fun to see some of the 2020 grads who still have eligibility show up at Hamline. Devin could create an all-star team of his old training buddies.

Stride Report lists Bati & Lloyd as Honorable Mentions on their just missed list. They must have forgotten Lloyd was AA last year and ran 8:23/14:35 over a two week span during Indoor.

Kelly was listed 12th, pretty similar to what he scored at the championship last year.

Reading the STO schedule release on Instagram makes me even more convinced they will be fourth at Carleton. That program more than any other spends so much time with social media posts and has only had one year of success since 2015.

You'll be looking at a bunch of O's held high at the end of October, same as last year.

Augsburg roster is up and Bati is listed. They've added a few pieces that will help including a D1 transfer from Wyoming. That's two low sticks. Cue the fanboys.

Zinabu Engstrom does look very legit. he should replace sakariah nicely. Top 25 material for sure likely top 15. However when you actually look at these guys times besides the new guy and bati. I'm just not convinced. So many teams around Augsburg will have far better depth and 1 or 2 ppl that could stick with Engstrom. Just doesn't seem like they r quite there yet. I think 2024 xc will be their year with a couple sophomores progress well this year

I think you’re right to be apprehensive. They’ll probably only be about second or third this year. Next year is their first year as the favorites. #highschoolkidsnolongerforcedtovisitolafforthestatemeet

If they are 2nd or 3rd their coach wins the national coach of the year award. I do see a scenario where they threaten for fourth, but I think Mac’s depth is too much if their two freshman are able to contribute right away. The Johnnies and Northfield school have quite the luxury of depth and rarely have to rely on freshmen. Although, technically this is will be Gabe’s freshman XC season.

A better question is whether Carleton/Olaf/St. John’s all can be ranked. I don’t think the MIAC has had that happen since 2019.

I also think we need to comment on the absurdity of depth the conference has right now. Boone, Kelly, Lloyd, Bati, Grove, Gabe, and Bowman all have very realistic chances to be All-American. That’s not even mentioning Lars and Tor. A question I’m eager to see answered is whether any of the other Carleton sophomore will be emerge on the national stage. If that’s the case, that’s a top ten team.

I just don’t see the Region getting five teams and that leaves either St. John’s or Olaf at home because LAX and UWW are too five teams too.

Never mind the tffrs and online rosters were not the same. Yes Carelton should indeed be very scary. Olaf is cooked im excited to see that

Had to laugh at the Oles choice of Instagram story today. All athletes that should have been better and never amounted to much.

Other teams are putting in work. Their coach is more concerned about social media clout.

Bethel roster is up. They have a decent group incoming including yet another Lelinga. He'll be a nice #3 behind Thompson & St. George.

The big news is that Tucker is listed on Scholastic's roster.
