Who cares? I know a guy who tripled in the 10k, 5k, and 1500 at a one day conference meet (he scored in all)and no one blinked an eye
My HS coach tripled in the 1500, 5k, and 10k in a single day conference meet when he was in college and he WON all 3.
O.K. How about a single day NAIA level Conference meet with a 440 yd Prelims / 440 yd Finals/ 440 yd Hurdles / 4x4 relay leg. That's a one-person mile relay.
Do you know how track works? Did you insult Centro for winning gold in a pedestrian time? What time won most of the men's conference 5000s last weekend?
As I mentioned a few posts up, this is a really bad idea. I’m glad Tuohy isn’t doing it.
Having said that, Tuohy could do it if she wanted to but she doesn’t want to. Henes wouldn’t let her do it anyway. If Tuohy did run NAIA, she would have no issues doing it. Conversely, if Wiley ran D1, she wouldn’t be doing this.
Again, good luck to her and I hope she doesn’t get injured.
Running and winning races is a bad idea? She's not some thoroughbred running on her fingertips. Zero percent chance of injury. The only issue is soreness slowing her down.
So far, so good. Big Qs across the board. Finals tomorrow are going to be a long day with five races in four hours. 3000 is going to be tough, not her best event. I'm curious how she is handling nutrition throughout the day. Not much time between events to replenish calories and clear the stomach before the next race.

I really don’t care either way, but for those people who were panicked that she was running tons of crazy events it looks like she ran pretty smart, and most of those paces are slower than she probably trains at in most work outs, so seems like she should be fine…. For example, 215 when your PR is 202 is something you could do off the couch after setting a beer down.

And what's her PR in each event? Just curious how much she saved herself for the big day tomorrow.
