Her whole post is just loaded with all sorts of cringy buzzwords that gave millennials a bad name for the longest time before the boomers moved onto hating Gen Z. Co-parenting, decoupling, sharing community…this just seems like another self-congratulatory new way to label yourself in order to receive affirmations of how great and brave you are for “living your truth.”
You asked why the downvotes and you got an answer. Make better choices, you're pathetic.
I don't understand; what was the answer? And who is pathetic? Lauren and Jesse?
I just said feel bad for them (and their kids) that they are going through a divorce. I think they made a lot of "good choices" during the last 20 years (from what we could see from the outside), yet somehow, it fell apart. We only ever cross paths athletically, but they seemed like a really great couple.
And I don't think her "spin" of being proud of how well they are handling the divorce is fully honest. It is, no matter what they say on SM, a failure to work through whatever they are going through at the moment.
p.s. I have been married for 27 years; so far, so good.

Gosh, have you considered the possibility that you and Dean Karnazes are just idiots?
Cuz it's really not in the least bit hard to understand. People change, and people fall out of love. If you've been around Planet Earth for more than ten minutes (and aren't a moron), you probably should've figured that out by now.
And for you, or Dean, or any other jerk-off, to tell them they're 'not allowed' to break up,... or 'not allowed' to stay friends if they *do* break up, is incredibly asinine and arrogant, and even more stupid.
Try growing up just a tiny bit. Then maybe it won't be so horribly tough for you to understand.
Usually lesbian women come out as bi as sort of a transition/justification for having heterosexual relationships before.
Can you provide statistical facts for this comment, or some sort of citation, because right now it just looks like an opinion that is based out of a stereotype/trope and the back of your burrito truck.
It's an observation. I can guarantee you that Lauren will not have a relationship with a man again.
I read this as Lauren’s realized she’s a lesbian and she wants to pursue a relationship with a woman. Nothing wrong with that.
I remember long ago, when she made the “balls” comment after a race, I sort of got the vibe she wasn’t straight and I was surprised she was married to a man.
LRC doesn't like snowflake runners. Have you seen any negative comments about (for example) McLaughlin or Steiner? Nikki Hiltz seems like they wants to be the center of attention constantly, since they identifies as non binary - and they always makes a point of it - but they always races in the female division. It just seems like they wants everyone to pay attention to they.
I haven't seen any male runners be explicitly political about everything.

Sometimes children are happier when the parents are divorced and they are freer (both parents). At least in this case both the mother and father still were civil to each other and career-oriented too, but they also understood a healthy divorce is better than an unhealthy marriage.

agree with this but male runners do get political
Alan Webb for one, gets political a lot, and bizarrely he's someone who is fervently protected on this website. Usually threads get removed immediately about him. It's a wild double standard.
I'm also not sure that political is the world you want to use here. There's this new age, attention seeky behavior that may have been inspired by politics but isn't in itself, political. It's just a need to feel superior but make it woke.

100 %. Because to paraphrase Rojo, “as real good open and honest conversations happen here LRC.” But no that’s not true at all because we can’t mention Alan Webb
Are there any runners who often tweet about Trump or Biden, or anything else politics-related?
Alan Webb's posts are religious anyway; they're not about politics at least from what I've seen.
rather than post what it is, I'll show you. and despite it being literal things HE posted, it'll get removed, and they'll be some lame excuse for it like "going off topic". But it's on topic. It shows that instagram can be used for attention seeking runners of all leanings and purposes.
I was looking at the replies on twitter and loved this from former Arkansas star Doug Consiglio.
A smart person once told me. “ being overweight is hard, staying fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being poor is hard, making money is hard. Choose your hard. Being married is hard, being divorced is hard. Choose your hard.” I thought that was great advice. Good luck to you both.
