That disciplinarian approach may work with the disadvantaged chip on their shoulder kids, but no way in hell that approach is gonna work on the rich Boulder CU football guys. This should be fun.
He'll more likely leave for a better job, than get fired.
Many of Colorado's best players are his former Jackson State U players. Forty or fifty years ago, the top talent at H.B.C.U.s was not inferior to top talent other D1 schools. NFL draft 40 or 50 years ago proves my point. Forty or 50 years ago, H.B.C.U.s were not as deep with talent, 3rd & 4th string guys as other universities. Today, HBCU athletes are as skilled as athletes from other universities, just smaller. Not as many 6'4" 325 lbs. guys at HBCUs. Coach Sanders will eventually get his share of 6'4" 325 pound guys.
so if they win more than one game and isn't fired and his son plays better than the previous QB you'll come back and admit you were wrong?
or all you just all talk....
I’ll come back and admit I was wrong. He may get fired at the halfway point of the season. He’s gonna start acting crazy like LaVar Ball and lose all credibility. He should have stayed at his watered down program that was more like a junior college.
Waiting on that admission.
You bumped this thread multiple times, don’t act like you suddenly don’t care anymore.

It was many moons ago, The Blue Grey all star game. The Grey had this wide receiver who was stealing the show, yep.....Jerry "World" Rice. That season Rice and his Mississippi Valley State QB Willie Totten set a ton of records, they were averaging over 50 points a game running a five receiver set. Obviously Rice being the da man. Rice was blowing by the big school guys in that all star game.
I;m a huge HBCU fan, there was never a time HBCU football teams coud hang with the top 20 big dawgs. Yes they always a few stud players like Rice, Walter Payton, John Stallworth, Willie Brown, and on and one , but they lacked depth and too slow and too small team wise.
In the 60's they did have some stud tracksters, talking Bob Hayes, Jim Hines, Willie Davenport, Rod Milburn, George Anderson,.

I never said they could have beaten the best teams in the nation, rosters weren't deep enough. Look at draft picks. As many African Americans were drafted over 50 years ago from HBCUs as other universities.
I went to one or two Mississippi Valley State football games in Willie Totten/J Rice era. Actually went to see Willie Totten not Jerry Rice. I can't speak for others. I thought Willie Totten was going to have the great pro career.
Colorado is definitely improved but they have tougher opponents on their schedule.
yeah for sure, that was the only thing tempering my win expectations in year 1.
I would have put the over-under at about a .500 team if they were playing an average schedule but then looked at their schedule and saw it was a possibility they could be a top ~50 level quality team yet still have a losing record. The range of outcomes for 2023 is still pretty wide...I mean they could win ~4 games or they could be a national contender. The fact they are top 25 already after a 1 win season is amazing
They've already proved beyond a doubt that Coach Primes's team is already immeasurable better than last year's team.
unquestionably they've already proved the OP wrong:
better than last year? yep
coach's son better QB than last years QB? yep
case closed.
B. Griner freed from Russian prison, Coach Prime rockin' it at CU...been a rough year for the OP.
There is a lot of bias on this site against minorities and women in positions of leadership for portion of Letsrun, so I think in the beginning, a decent portion of posters on Letsrun forum assumed Colorado hiring ex athlete like Deion as head coach would be a disaster for Colorado football program.
