They also accused Valby. And they can't stand the fact that Cook ran faster for 5000 at the same age. They like to latch onto Tuohy being faster than Cook and Wiley in real time but can't stand comparing Tuohy to the 20 Americans who are faster than her because then it is all about little girl Katelyn being so young barely turning 21 soon.
I’m a fan of all of these young and promising athletes as well. It’s great to see that there are some that show great potential. It’s great for the sport.
That said, it’s a shame that Wiley is connected to a sullied program. I’m not going to say the she dopes, because I honestly don’t know. I would really like to see her at a “clean” program and hoping that she transfers. I like seeing her do well and am not going to bag on her just because of the school that she attends and who has coached her. She is a young woman that does not deserve the ire that she catches.
Also, not all fans of Tuohy “insult every young runner who threatens Tuohy.” It is a minority of her fans but, unfortunately, a very vocal minority. Keep in mind that Tuohy has many more fans than the ones that post here. The ones posting here are a minuscule percentage of her fans and are not representative of all fans. And to be fair, I have seen just as many haters of Tuohy that will start criticizing and bagging on her just because there is an upstart that they might like. I’ve seen it with fans of Dudek, Hutchins, Cook, Ewert, most noticeably Valby fans, and now Wiley. There will be many more. It goes both ways.
It shouldn't be about being being fans of one runner over another but the HU scandal.
It's clear that the HU program was/is doping and it needs to be suspended.
More than enough athletes have come forward. It is the biggest scandal in college track and field. Why have they not done it?
No one can say for sure if Wiley's HS record was doped but she defended the coaches. I have heard Wiley is still being coached by the Johnsons, I don't know if that is true.
No athlete coached by them should be competing until this resolves.
i'm not sure what you mean by "an 800 to 1500 conversion is a stretch."
i'm curious what people think she/they did/are doping with. clearly not epo or some sort of oxygen vector compound otherwise Wiley would have been running much much faster for 5000.
ultimately her times align from 400m on up. she has not shown any unusual levels of endurance relative to speed that raise flags.
Nobody cares about Wiley and the HU program. It hasn't been anywhere in the media other then this site for months. If people have an issue with the doping allegations then that's on the NAIA due to their lack of a good testing program, but the NCAA rarely test either.
I'm late here so I'm not sure why the comments are getting deleted, and I certainly think that OP was baiting.
All I'm going to say on the matter is this: no fast mile time is worth the things that the former Huntington coaches have been accused of doing to their athletes. I really hope Addy gets the support that she needs.
I absolutely understand the gut instinct to feel this way, and I agree that her teammates who have spoken out are courageous in doing so. I believe them, think they are right and I hope they will win.
Addy is an adult, but a young one at that. I do feel the reports show that there has been a significant amount of manipulation, emotional abandonment, and trauma involved in her situation.
I believe that you can both support the women Addy has spoken out against, say that Addy is absolutely wrong for speaking out against them, and for the things she has said about them while also holding space to support her too and hope she gets the help she needs.
Her teammates that were sexually abused and doped that Wiley called liars has been through a lot more, and surely they have more courage than Wiley. I hope they win the case.

Which is all fine, but it is possible she got the same injections that were allegedly given to champions Stoffel and Wilson. A lot of respect to them for coming forward, it is very rare to have that kind of courage.
Please explain the courage? Did they disqualify themselves? Were they ridiculed? What were the painful consequences resulting from their admitting what happened.
