Neither is the United States, but almost everyone in Biden's cabinet is Jewish.

I hear you, but GDP per capita in the US is what...20% higher than Europe? I mean the incomes in the US are simply much higher than in our peer nations and taxes are probably lower. heck, 30-40% don't pay federal income tax at all.

Sure, Americans make a lot of dumb decisions and wind up fat and die younger than they should.

But third world nations don't have per capita GDPs massively higher than Europe. The US is something other than third world....some sort of rich, fat spoiled ignorant child.

I quibble with bullet item 2. The way you wrote that it could cause some to believe that they will pay 85% or 50% of their SS benefit to the gov in the form of taxes. Of course that's wrong. 85 (or 50)% of one's SS benefit will be subject to taxation, but the RATE of taxation will depend on income and will be far less than even 50%.

Also, I agree with Ex L on, basically, not really scheming to squeeze the absolute maximum dollar amount over ones life from the SS system. I'm far more concerned with not running out of money before I die. I don't need SS at 62 so I'll pass until 70, just in case I live to be 110 years old. If I don't that's cool, I don't think I'll be too bummed about it.
