According to the only review I've seen on the naked trail shoe, it's a super firm and minimal racer. That would be the worst option for someone like Camille.
Sounds like she'd be getting back to something like the Saucony Killkenny that she used to do so much of her running in.
I still have three pair of those shoes...they last forever on trails, for which they are my favorite. THE optimal blend of protection, comfort, minimalism and durability. Versatile from multi-hour technical trail to speedwork track sessions.

Agree. I think they might be the most durable and versatile running shoe ever made. You have to love a shoe named for an Irish beer served in a Chinese pub. But they probably aren't for everyone.
she posted a picture on Twitter the other week with taco emojis over her shoes, so I'm guessing it's a shoe sponsor. I wonder what the delay is - the longer it goes on, the more it seems like she's bluffing (which I doubt she is but it's past mid-january at this point...)
Also her constant complaining about not lowering her 100mile world record due to a course measurement/layout error is actually kind of sad. ... Deeds not words!
Check what your wrote. "her 100 mile world record" and "Deeds not words!" That is one of the worst posts I have seen on Letsrun. She literally has a world record. That is pretty much one of the only two "deeds" our sport offers (along with winning medals).
As for the 100 mile... She broke the record again but some idiot mismeasured it (not her fault); you and I would both be pissed as hell if that happened. She should feel free to be as salty as she wants! Get feist over screw ups like that. I hate when race directors screw up the measurement and our PRs "don't count."
Puma makes the most sense for Camille - she doesn’t really *need* a trail shoe for 90% of her races. Excellent ultrarunner, not good on actual trails. So it has to be a brand with a carbon plated shoe for her road efforts.
Definitely not true. Camille is critical of carbon-plated shoes for the kinds of races she runs (see her recent twitter posts for most recent examples).
I doubt she's too upset. She split something like 92.5 miles at Desert Solstice while taking two pretty extended breaks after breaking shorter records.

Ya. Here's one:
In my honest opinion carbon plates do not aid for 100 miles and beyond. When you run slower you are more on your heels- no gains from a carbon plate/stiff shoe. Just need the most comfortable shoes/uppers for being on your feet for a long time 👌. @Talkultra@ShalayaKipp
I may be out of touch, but wouldn't On trail shoes pick up a ton of rocks and twigs?
No one knows, they've only been worn by rich weekend warriors running errands
They have adjusted the outsole of the more recent trail shoes to not have the giant channels between the clouds..for what it's worth. They're still fashion shoes first though.
It looks like she has been running in Killian's shoe white/gum.
I would guess that Nnormal is her sponsor. You can see from some of her recent IG posts that she appears to be training (at least occasionally) in the Nnormal Kjerag. It's typically blocked out by tacos, but if you've got sharp eyes, you can catch a few errant photos.
