Nothing unethical about bribing your way into hosts, exploiting migrant workers with no value of human life, and discriminatory disdain for rainbow shirts.
you failed to understand my point. I didn't say Qatar wasn't doing anything unethical. It's very likely they used bribery. But that is very common eveywhere on the planet. Why does it bother you so much now?
Exploiting migrant workers? They were not paid? Why did they came there to work then? Again this phenomemon that you call exploitation is internationnal division of work that happens everywhere in the world. Who is making your clothes? How is that different? I admit that I think it's unethical also, but that how the world works nowadays... "No value of human life" is a judgment based on nothing but your hate.
Disdain for rainbow shirt is a sound and natural reaction to a degenerated trend. That shows Qatar kept higher ethical values than some western countries regarding sexuality and gender, according to laws of nature. You are the unethical one in this topic.
I understood your point. “Everyone does it” is not a compelling argument to me, guy, especially since I do not agree that anyone bribed, exploited and discriminated to the extent of the Qatari management. But your last paragraph tells me just the kind of person you are, so I shouldn’t be surprised.
Fair enough. It does seem plausible that there might be some foul play going on here.
However, the point about his wife is that she’s an infectious disease doc, a member of Biden’s Covid advisory transition team, and a mRNA vax “truther.” And Grant heavily promoted this “truth” via his tweets. So, if he did pass of sub-clinical myocarditis as a result of cumulative jabs, I would surely hope some real investigative journalism would seek out the truth. That’s what it’s supposed to do, no matter how emotionally and politically inconvenient.
I agree w another poster that the cognitive dissonance in that mRNA truther community would be incredibly difficult to overcome, and they likely wouldn’t ever be able to walk it back now.
Whatever the case, it’s incredibly sad, and, if it was “a hit” related to his LBGTQ promotion or criticism of the Qatari government, it just serves as a reminder about how good we have it over here and how the incessant whining needs to stop.
"vax truther" and "incessant whining [about LGBTQ rights]" in a post referencing a recently deceased individual...
Your mother wouldn't be proud, but at least you hit Daddy Elon's talking points!
I did not say it was fine because everybody does it, I said that you can't use it as an argument to say Qatar is worse ethically speaking than other countries as they do it also.
I'm the kind of person who thinks nature is right and that we should respect its laws, yes. And I don't see why I should be ashamed of it. Because some persons have a distorted view of life and want to force other people and countries to adopt their distorted view, calling themselves the tolerant ones in addition? how ironical... Men and women are made to coppulate together. People with penis at birth are male that will become men, people with vagina at birth are female that will become women. Simple. One can feel bad in ones skin, I can understand, and I respect those who struggle with it. But I can't tolerate this propoganda that encourages deviance from nature.
"It's not some baseless conspiracy theory. Finding out what truly happened to him is important. If we don't at least consider this, then we could be letting someone get away with killing him."
1- if he was killed because of stance on gay issues it will probably never be known because nobody wants to make fifa look worse than it already does for picking that location.
2- if he died due to the covid jab we will never know because they will never admit that there are possible issues with the vaccine. every government pushed for it and required and ridiculed and threatened anyone that questioned it, that there is absolutely no way they will ever walk that back, no matter what "the science" says. it may be 100 years before anyone really is willing to speak the truth about C19 vaccines and policies.

All sane, rational, compassionate people with an interest in public safety should want to know how Grant died. The real, verifiable reason. To deviate in any way from that desire for full transparency is putting your politics above life.

What part of the COVID maximalist set has struck you as being sane, rational or compassionate?
The grief stricken brother aside, the an American journalist was murdered!!! morans should at least reference THE PARALLAX VIEW a few times before posting again.
A white man died. We need to get to the bottom of it.
LOL. Allow me to help.
Despite numerous pages and posts by whack job lrc posters, its overwhelmingly likely that his death had nothing to do with vaccines or malevolence.
Whats the matter with some people here?
I'll gladly take the other side of the bet that his death did have something to do with the Vaxx or malevolence by Qataris. My bet is he caught a case of the popular "Sudden Adult Death Syndrome" that just started in the last year.
Can someone tell me what all the deleted posts were? Did they all relate to some specific point?
We both know what they were about. Just look at Fitz’ response above your post. Simply the resident antivaxxers/extreme right wingers quipping “VaXxED???”. Completely vile and nasty, but also amusing; shows how consumed they are by their hard on for the vaccines
Are you denying that this Cup had exponentially more deaths of workers getting the preparations for Qatar than any other Cup in other nations?
I'm denying that Qatar is worse ethically than others hosts. About death of workers, i'm not sure. Please give me a link to a serious investigation that gives precise number and classify by cause : infectious disease, heat, overworking, murder, gorvernment action etc.
And comparison with previous hosts.
First of all I imagine that those workers were not taken by force to Qatar to work there. So if their condition was so bad, why did they went there to work?
There is a proverb in my country that says "numbers are sensitive creatures that can admit anything under torture"
Here's the thing.
I really understand that having the FIFA World Cup in the Middle East does mean a lot to people in the Middle East.
I want to emphasize that criticism of Qatar as a host nation has nothing to do with racism, nothing to do with any type of subconscious disdain that the World Cup is in a middle eastern nation.
I very much disagree with people saying that the WC can only be hosted in Europe or North America, in my view that IS racist. But I also don't want to play false equivalancies. We have human rights abuses in the US, and in Europe yes. But it's just not the same as what happens in Qatar.
Can the USA and other countries treat LGBTQ people better? Oh definitely. But we can't be compared to a place like Qatar. It isn't fair that a global event, which no doubt features LBGTQ players and staff is held there. Sending them to a place like the US is one thing, but it can't be compared to forcing them to play in a place like Qatar. The same goes for the treatment women.
If you think it's a middle eastern thing, think again. When the Olympics were hosted in Sochi, many people spoke out against it, believing Russia to be too unsafe at the time to host the Olympics. Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy was gay and not out yet had spoken at length about being forced to compete there.
No country is perfect, but some places are safer for the global community writ large than others. It is pointless to deny that.
FIFA is still failing to fulfill its human rights responsibilities by refusing to commit to compensate migrant workers and their families for abuses while preparing and delivering the World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar, Human...
Posts were deleted that were about his wife. You can discuss he had a heart attack , that it might have been caused by the vaccine or whatever or that he might have been murdered but his wife’s job or beliefs aren’t relevant.
I still think it is most likely he had a heart attack of natural causes but at 1 am last night I remembered he had written this at World Cup:

How noble of you. You deleted or locked several Newbury Park beef threads because they were based on unfounded rumors yet this thread is predominantly on the unfounded conspiracy theory that the dude was murdered by the government of Qatar and you personaly gave that discussion your blessing. Your so called integrity is a joke.
A conspiracy theory differentiates itself from a normal theory by going against accepted facts. Here are some facts for you-
1. Journalists are routinely killed in these kinds of countries.
2. Whining about the mods speaks a lot more about you than it does about them
Your post was reasonable until the lie in your last paragraph. No "hit" in Qatar. Btw., where are G Wahl's remains?
CNN online says G Wahl 's remains are en route to u.s. for autopsy. Doesn't that end a local murder investigation in Qatar? No way can his remains be turned over to his family then a county coroner in u.s. announces G Wahl was murdered. MURDER NOW IS NO LONGER BEING CONSIDERED.
A white man died. We need to get to the bottom of it.
A black man high on drugs using counterfeit money with a history of armed robbery (and holding a gun to a pregnant woman l’s belly) died. We need to burn down buildings, destroy cars, loot businesses, and riot.
