Wow. There is definitely some obsession with proving that Touhy is better than Valby. I'm sure she can try to do that on her own later this month.
A few things... 1) A Strava post without the map is most likely a manual post. Meaning the athlete did not use their GPS watch during the race. 2) If you really think a GPS watch is more accurate than a manual measuring wheel or a surveyed course then I probably can't help you. 3) I am assuming the SEC course was a bit short. Found five different runners' Strava posts (with the GPS map) that showed anywhere from 3.70 miles to 3.77 miles (5.96k to 6.07k). Based on the noted inaccuracy of GPS I think that would confirm that it's a tad short. 4) Everybody's obsession with times in cross country is weird. It's cross country - not track. It's about who you beat on the day.
