The nature of D1 women’s racing is night and day more competitive now than in the past. Much more depth. NCSt women have demonstrated they are team first and focused on November. Nutty hasn’t been won from a front running tactic since Ednah Kurgat in 2017. If these things prove to be false and Touhy gaps the field at the mile by 10 seconds I’ll come on here and bow down to your prediction.
katelyn did not do it on a flatter easier course at joe piane so i dont think she would gap the field at the mile like an NXN race .. but she will help set a fast pace .. or i could be wrong and she's really eyeing for that record and hammers it, we'll find out in less than a week!
Anyone who's kind enough to have a stream??
We’ll figure out a way for me to share (as long as its allowed, etc.).
you can check the site DISCORD, quite easy there, all free!! you just do a livestream by sharing your screen then share the link, everyone who has a link can watch ~
Sure. If I’m wrong, I’ll publicly say that I misjudged Tuohy’s motivation and the strength of other runners and was incorrect in my prediction.
its not about misjudging katelyn's motivation and strength, its unfair to question someone's motivation and strength when they dont try to break a record thats made on a shorter course all while theres a bigger goal ahead

Misunderstood. I simply meant that its possible Tuohy has a different motivation come race day, I’m willing to accept that. As far as the other runners, I could misjudge their ability to be at 16:07 for the 5k mark.

With that being said, I’m quite certain Tuohy’s motivation this upcoming weekend is to run FAST on a challenging and renowned course.
I don't see how my team predcitions would be different at the end of the year which are 1 Okl St 2 Stanford 3 NAU 4 BYU 5 Washington, but I'll just start listing people here and seeing how it all plays out? Maybe I'll try to lift up Colorado for kicks.
How about I give you a top 50. 1. Cole Sprout, Stanford-He's up there with the other 2 of Stanford and I figure like Oklahoma St switching 1 and 2 at Jamboree, we'll make it unpredictable 2. Charlie Hicks, Stanford 3. Brian Fay, Wash-He's sub-13:20, consistently all-American and he stayed an extra year in college solely because he thought he could do something special, I'm going to guess he's right. Also, this could shake up the season if another guy finished in front of Nico Young and became a de facto title contender 4. Nico Young, N Az-I heard someone say his form was looking bad, so I'd 5. Andrew Kent, Colorado-A bit of a wildcard pick, but I'm assuming Kent is going to be Colorado's consistent #1 after his sub-13:30 last year 6. Ky Robinson, Stanford- Heard to drop him too far down 7. Ahmed Muhammed, Florida St-I'm just a Fla St fan, and I remember him being on Wildschuut's heels last year 8. Aaron Beninfeld, Oregon 9. Titus Winders, Iowa St-He's my sleeper top 10 pick this year at nationals. If he can run those times in DII, why wouldn't he massively improve with a better coach and better teammates? 10. Bob Liking, Wisconsin-Homefield advantage 11. Matthew Pampayas, Georgetown-Anotehr sleeper pick. He was a 3:55 miler 12. Drew Bosley, N. Az-I don't think it's a given that Bosley is always going to crack the top ten of every race. I think it's a very weak N Az year 13. Ian Shankin, NC State-He was 9th in the 5K when Cooper Teare won in a very competitive race. I've assumed he can turn in a great performance at any time 14. Graham Blanks, Harvard 15. Matthew Camarody, Notre Dame 16. Harrison Reindhardt, Oregon-Would be kind of funny if Colin Sahlman wasn't the top freshman this year 17. Colin Sahlman, N. Az-I still have no idea how N Az would win 18. Ibrahim Aden, Boise St 19. Sam Ellis, Washington-A miler like Ellis with a better coach could get better results with a better coach 20. Kelvin Bungei, Iowa State-Another transfer and this one is Kenyan-born 21. Kevin Feighen, Florida State-He performed pretty well earlier this year. 22. Isaac Akers, Tulsa-Favoring strong milers at the 8K distances 23. Iziah Steury, Notre Dame-Another top freshman. I tend to believe true freshmen do better in the 8K races then the last two races of the season.... 24. Thomas Boyden, Stanford-STanford has a pretty bad 4/5 problem but Boyden wasn't that far off the top 3 if I remember 25. Michael Powers, Tulsa 26. Parker Wolfe, UNC 27. Acer Iverson, Harvard-He should be higher up I know, I'm accounting for some randomness 28. Jackson Sharp-Wisconsin 29. Parker Stokes, Georgetown-I think GEorgetown can do pretty well this year, so I'm going to put some G'Town guys further up 30. Ayeluh Taye, Georgetown-Finished 4th at Paul Short 31. Michael Powers, Tulsa-He probably should be finishing higher, but I'm betting someone has an off-day 33. Seth Hirsch, Colorado-A semi-home field advantage 33. George Kuesche, Northern Arizona-Not everyone's going to have a good day, that's just part of the game. I predict Kuesche somewhere around 30 for nationals but I also think N. Az will be a little weak in their showing. 34. Sam Gilman, Air Force 35. Gabe Spoelstra, Iowa State 36. Haftu Strintzos, Villanova-I don't think he'll ever top that top 10 Finish in XC last year, but I don't think he'll completely blow-up either. I assume he'll just have mediocre results for the rest of his college career 37. Evan Bishop, Wisconsin 38. Nehemiah Too, Iowa State-I believe that Iowa State isn't necessarily going to have an easy time making the podium but they can run 3 or 4 deep with a lot of schools if their transfers do really well 39. Nathan Green, Washington-I predict Washington will run in a pack and get their top 7 in before anyone else 40. Eduardo Trippas, Washington 41. Austin Vincil, Colorado 42. Luke Hauser, Washington 43. Aden Smith-Michigan State 44. Sam Affolder-Washington 45. Arjun Rah-Michigan (he previously ran for Indiana) 46. Stanford (whoever their 5 guy is) 47 Jack Meijer-Wisconsin 48. Carter Solomon, Notre Dame-The obvious choice might be Jake Renfree but I'm assuming the pack mentality Notre Dame usually employs leads to unpredictable results each time around 49. Santiago Prosser-Northern Arizona-Sophomore revelation 50. Elliott Cook, Oregon-Remember they got an amazing coach, he could get a couple decent athletes or two performing
nut probably no official 5K split so I will say over 13:00 for 4K
I will be there and will post the leaders’ split at 5k. Agree nobody hits that time. Last year Roe strung out the lead pack of about 10-12 women right at 5k. The top 3 of Roe, Chmiel and McCabe absolutely hammered the last k

You missed a top 3 team and 2 of the top 10 finishers.
what top three team? Oklahoma State and Alabama aren't listed as running, and I mentioned New Mexico, NC State, and NAU. Individually might've missed someone wondering who you think
Mods, can you change the name of this thread to: "How will Tuohy do at nuttycomb?"
Yeah the Tuohy worship on this site is out of control. The last 4 pages have all been about Tuohy. It's mostly the fault of 3-4 obsessive posters hijacking every single discussion thread. Mods should clean this up. It's like this in any thread that is even tangentially related to her.

Seriously? When a top athlete is at the top of their game AND improving, it’s exciting so there is chatter about it and some disagreements, and discussions. Sorry to have annoyed you.
There are plenty of other discussions about top athletes, in fact, as of this moment there is a thread about Connor Mantz that has 141 posts. He did GREAT today!
