I suspect if he were 25 today (and wearing today's spikes), he'd be right up there with Hoare, Kerr, Wightman, etc.

Nope, not a zot. Ask him about the time, and he'll point to his gold medal. Some people do not get championship racing - you have to be ready for all the different races.
