Drew and some other younger elite runners need to start focusing on WINNING! and making national teams. Running 3:54 mile (3:38ish) is a "good" time, but not a time that is going to get you on the USA 1500m national team. You need to be a 3:50-3:52 miler (3:32-3:33) guy at worst, and be able to run that time consistently. Clearly, Drew's event is 5000m, and he needs train for that event, not the 1500m. He can develop his 1500m time via specific speed workouts, but they need to be in line with his 5000m training. The dude ran sub 4:00 in high school, there is NO reason he isn't sniffing low 3:50's if not sub 3:50, and sub 13:05 or better.
He's still relatively young and has time, but the clock is ticking and he needs a major national team (World X-C, World Champs, and Oly Games) birth soon.
He's not young anymore. He's turning 25 soon and only 3 years left on his 10 year contract. Who is going to offer a contract to a guy getting beat by unsponsored athletes (Maggard, Eric Holt) and who insists on being coached by his mom?
There's a high chance he might quit pro running when his current contract ends. The problem is he has no other skills for a real job.
FYI-25 years old is still considered "Young" in middle/long distance running. Your post is all over the place, I'm not talking about what he'll do 3 years from now, I'm talking about this year and next. He's capable of running the times I mentioned and potentially winning USA meets as per my previous post. Not guaranteed, but is capable. He's financially supported and has no reason not to be competitive in the 5000m unless he becomes injured. That being said, if he fails to win a major USA meet or at least make a couple teams before his contract expires he will be considered a major "BUST"! I posted over a year ago that he needs to be with a high performance training group that will kick his ass day in and day out.

Instead, he plays "rec league baseball." He's certainly not capable, based on his conditioning above the shoulders. It's sure looking like he prefers to avoid the pressure of making US teams and competing on the world stage.

25 isn't young. It is the prime age for MD guys where they should be setting their lifetime bests. He still has time but it is running out. 2023-5 should be his prime if he can stay healthy. I hope he does and we get to see exactly who he is. If he gets 9 months of training and runs 335/1310, then we at least know that was his best. Get this injured for 4 months and we will always wonder what he could have done if he stayed healthy...

He didn't hit the 2020 Olympic Standards in any event, and he didn't hit the 2022 world championship standards either. He needs 3:35.00 or 13:13.50 and has never been close.
Nico Young and Cole Hocker and Teare are much younger than him and already much faster. Grant Fisher, Joe Klecker, Nur, and others are about the same age and are totally out of Hunter's league.
