So no one has answered this yet, wheres all his money come from? On old threads someone said it's inherited wealth. Either way, hows he got so much money and such a big house even though he's jerking off jogging everyday?

In this ridiculously long and detailed video, I'll take you behind-the-scenes of my Youtube channel and various businesses to show how much money we've made ...
Seth obviously has a smaller following than Ali but if you watch the video you can see how it could work out. I'm pretty sure that Seth didn't have much family money at all. He's talked multiple times about how his family struggled with money in the past.
I love the guy's attitude, and I'm rooting for him, but I can't see him breaking 2:25. He totally has the ability to hit the OTQ standard, but he has to make some serious changes in his training to get there. Honestly he'd probably be closer to the standard on a 100mpw Jack Daniels plan, which calls for about double the number quality workouts he does. He almost never does anything faster than goal race pace, and even that he only does once or twice a month. Aerobic base is a strength of his, and he's way beyond diminishing returns there.
The weird thing is that his training for mountain races is the opposite. Multiple hard efforts per week and FTK efforts out the wazoo. His race results there have been excellent. Maybe he should focus on that year round.
I am a big supporter of Seth and usually watch his videos while drinking cup a coffee and stretching out before heading out for a run.
I have been watching him at least a couple of times a week since right after he finished second in the PP ascent in 2019. After that race he headed into a training to try to get an OTQ at Amsterdam while simultaneously trying to maintain mountain fitness for the World Mountain Championships. If I remember correctly, he did a lot more traditional training at the time (like 13 mile tempos at Marathon pace and speedwork, etc.). With this training, he was able to hang on for a 2:23:something after going out after going out in under 1:07:00 for the half.
This is why this current training block has been strange, he seems to have cut back on both mileage and intensity -- 3 × 5k at Marathon pace and more recently 400s at marathon pace.
Nevertheless, his two PP wins show he is probably a better runner than he was in the Fall of 2019 and I am hoping for the best if he paces himself.
I agree with you. I tried to find reasons to not like him and I ran out of reasons. I actually like the guy and think he is passionate about running and has found a way to continue his passion and make some dough doing it. I thought this is what the American dream is supposed to be finding something that you love and you make a living doing it? I think there are a lot of miserable haters on this site that cant stand anyone who is not miserable also. I am going to laugh if he put's together the race of his life and lands an Olympic Trials Qualifier and not only hits the 2:18:00 standard but run's something like a 2:15. The amount of pissed of jealousy and drug accusations that are going to be all over the board is going to be pretty funny.
Look I spent my entire 20's and a part of my 30's being filled with hate and anger it does nothing but cause health issues and problems in your life. Try and be positive and root for the guy a little bit. My running days are behind me I look at a guy like Seth as normal guy trying to live his dream and I can respect that and cheer for him.
If you really believe in 2.15 then you haven't understood a lot about physiology especially at marathon level. Race day miracle ain't goin to happen.....

Thats what u wrote... Just thinking of that probability puts you in dreamsland. 2.15 would mean doing his halfmarathonpace in amsterdam of 2019 back2back....
I don't get the hate of SJD. It's pretty easy to not watch his content if you don't like it. He is a self aware amateur, so I don't know why his training would be "hammered" by appearing on a podcast. Why would it matter how he trains? It's not like he is a college coach that is under-developing others. It's also not like the future Bekele is going to be ruined because they try to follow along. His audience is middle aged hobby joggers which the vast majority I'm sure have "worse" training than SJD, but who cares either way. I only run 30 minutes most days, but who cares? Should I be hammered for my training? I'm a 41 year old parent just enjoying my short runs. I'm not coaching others to do the same. I find more enjoyment in running if my daily runs are more enjoyable than the enjoyment I'd receive from knocking my 5k time lower while running a whole lot of runs I dont enjoy as much in training. I have a hard time watching a FULL sjd video due to all the b roll walking around his house, but his style is very cinematic and I do like skipping to his nature runs and checking out his editing style.
I'm not hating on him. I just don't think he is going to reach his goal in rotterdam with that kind of training he did. Period. And I find it kind of a scam that he wants to train other people seeing how he's training himself....

When I was a college Freshman I broke 15:00 for the 5000m I ran 14:59. Which was brutal I felt like I had nothing left 3 weeks later I ran 30:04 for 10,000m. Explain that? I ran pretty close to my 5000m back to back. Seth has what a 1:05:43 Half best? It is not impossible for him to run 2:15:59, but with that being said him running the Olympic Trials Qualifier is well within his range if he run's a smart race.
And I just did some browsing around in his Strava. He tapered of way more this time then 2019 but funny enough he trained way harder and faster back in 2019 ...

This^. SJD is positioning himself to be a coach-for-hire. He has been telegraphing this for weeks. The definition of "hate" around this place is very weak. The knowledgeable posters on this site are well aware that he does not understand the physiology of the sport nor does he model good training/nutrition/lifestyle habits for his pool of paying customers. That is why he would get hammered. He often says the dumbest things in his videos that are easily refuted by anyone that has glanced at a book on the training of distance runners. Goofy positive personality aside, he is simply not qualified to coach runners at any level. This is akin to stating that anyone that has ever been inside of a school building is now qualified to teach.
