That's not accurate regarding the "far left." Most objective people would consider the "far left" to be those "Woke" types who find racism in everyone and everything except themselves (the religion of anti-racism), appear to advocate that the government just write checks to everyone, despise and lie about Trump with obsession, and several more behaviors. They have nothing to do anymore with liberal thought (being a liberal, I know this).

You may have come closer on the "far right" but exaggerated a bit as well. The "far right" is the cult of personality around Trump, which you see here often. They are as equally demented as the far left.

It's sad to me that the left in America is now the one slipping for free speech protections.
I remember when the ACLU was viewed as liberal institution.
My ex-wife's professor was head of ACLU. My ex-wife joined. I was sort of wondering if that was a good idea and I'll give her credit she said, "supporting the right to express unpopular opinions is important."

Unfortunately, that ACLU no longer exists.

As for bots, with some of the Russian doping stuff I got a few emails that opened me up to the possibility that Russia might try and influence opinion on here but there weren't a lot of places where Russian doping is discussed on the internet in English.

The far right hates Trump and most of his supporters for their unwavering fealty to Israel. In that way, the far right and far left are indeed strange bedfellows, much like George Lincoln Rockwell and Elijah Muhammad. It’s interesting to trace the latter’s lineage through Farrakhan down to BLM and the Women’s March. I’d wager that the vast majority who support those movements and refer to Trump et al. as ‘Hitler’ or ‘Nazi’ have no idea Muhammad gave his hearty approval when Rockwell referred to him as the Adolph Hitler of his people.
