Traveling is the equivalent of that one guy who never runs the same route twice and always needs "variety".
I hate traveling and all the pathetic status-obsessed boring tourists who partake. The only valid reasons to travel are to visit family, altitude training, weather, and to make money.
This guy knows. Mixing business with travel is the best. I was thinking about this today. With my first wife, we were more entrepreneurial minded. If we went somewhere we figured out how to drum up business there, and in doing so we were gone for decent chunks of time, loved it. It does take quite a bit of strategy, and I don't do that anymore. But it's a good quality to have in a partner.
So to OP, maybe you can mix travel with some of your existing interests. The next girl you date can pop your travel cherry.
