Not the greatest year for OAC Boulder in 2025, is it? At least Nuguse made it to the starting line, I suppose. That seems to be half the battle in that group.
OAC needs to stop pumping up how well they train (e.g. Klecker's half, Nuguse today) and save the energy for race day. Even Ollie was saying he's training the best he has in a long time and will go for his NR today. Too much counting of chickens...
are you smoking crack he just ran a 3:45 mile, which is a pb, and worth 3:28-29low, and he did it leading the race (until 1499.99m) after the pacer dropped. How many guys have done that since El G? I think Jakob might be the only one.
Last for Olli is def bad though. Hopefully just a bad day and not indicative of his fitness.

Fair point. I didn't mean to infer Nuguse's run was bad- of course it wasn't.
But in the lead up I heard repeatedly that he's in 3.41 shape. The shape that matters is what you run on the day. I'm happy to hear that they are fit and ready to go, but I'm tired of the record-pumping.
Running 1.22m wide over 100m only adds 7mm for Nuguse.
Laros passes Habz with 30 meters to go. If he has to go 1 meter wide (not 1.22m because he can run on the lane line or even wide in lane 1 if Nuguse is hugging the rail) that only adds 17mm for Laros.
So that would make it about 17mm+7mm/about 1 inch closer, but Laros won about about 2 inches.

You're disregarding the effects of Laros's required directional changes on his speed. It's not hard to imagine that the losses of momentum and directional changes cost him the extra inch, or more.
Can someone please post video of international mile once complete. So hard to get any coverage abroad of the earlier races, very disappointing
Keep searching for this race, and can't find a thing. if anyone has a link, or recorded their screen, please send a link. hahah. so curious to see how this played out
