We are talking about Toledo here correct?! You guys act like it's the Stanford frickin' Cardinal. Toledo is NOT one of "the top women's teams in the nation"! I doubt that you know if the woman is qualified or not, running her own program she could do a great job BUT I believe Herbster at Clemson would do a nice job and would be able to keep the program relevant.
If they hire this woman it will be a joke. The Toledo women have been to the NCAAs 3 or 4 years in a row. This woman couldn't coach a program like that. No way she gets hired. It is a top disatnce job and I don't see where this woman has ever coached a national qualifier let alone a good team. The Toledo women would probably scoff at the idea and eat her alive.

O'neal had it planned since Texas relays to hire Hayes. Why hire a guy that couldn't get the best Texas guys to go to UT? They obviously didn't rate him as a coach. O'neal clearly feels he can manipulate Hayes unlike Kennedy who strikes me as the kind of person to take no BS. Why would you want to work for a guy that doesn't give a coach more than a year to turn a distance program that quite frankly had a terrible selection of talent. In fairness Hayes is walking in to one of the best recruiting classes of the year so he should last longer than a year from Kennedy's great recruitment.

The USF opening was for sprints and jumps, so unless something just changed USF doesn't have a distance opening.

There went Iowa State's women's program.
Pretty sure Martin Smith fired himself at Oklahoma when he found out he didn't have any more assistant coaches to fire. Glad he was able to land on his feet!
So now that a pretty good job at Iowa State has been filled, a better job at Oklahoma is open.
Maybe Jason Dunn will take this one, since he didn't get Iowa State.

The girl at Murray has done a good job with what she has. It's not a high profile job and not a lot resources. Maybe she's not the right fit for Toledo, but she's no joke!
A good job with what she had? If you have never even won a conference championship or had a national qualifier, how do you expect to follow up a guy like Hadsell as Toledo. Say what you want about the guy, but he, was cleared of the lies/allegations, he dominated that conference, had his own radio show and took teams to nationals. Stop already with this fantasy of Toledo being the shining school on the hill and Hadsell being the only one worthy of holding such a prestigious position. Toledo is a stepping stone to bigger and better things not a destination. The chick would do great there.
