my hats go off to the cortland team. my guess is that they all have been dealing with a lot of pressure considering they have been declared the national champions immediately after last season ended - the only problem is they still have to go out and win the race. again a guess but they probably wanted to be able to relax a little as the season really heats up. those who think they were disrespectful, get over yourself. i was not at the race as I have no SUNYAC affiliation but get over it all you geneseo fans crying about it - and get ready for two weeks cause if I had to make predictions I would put you in 4th, then you can complain how 3 other teams dressed for the awards.

does anyone know if they (dubois and nally) ran a course record for Letchworth? how about Andi Palen on the women's side? It was faster than the times at the Geneseo Invite earlier this year, but can anyone tell us the fastest ever??

The sunyac times were faster then the Regional times back in 2006 when Deshane won it 25:10?? So I am pretty sure that Shamus and Dubios ran the faster times. Which is impressive because it is earlier in the season than Regionals.

Andi Palen did run great but she just didnt compare to Mont and Wisz's times back during that Regionals. I think they ran 21:15 and 21:17??

I believe Ted Turner still has the course record from NYSCTC in 2004. He cruised for an easy win with a 24:56.

2004 was the year that they modified the course at Letchworth to what it is now.

Yes.

Still proves me right about the girls times in 06 though, this year the field just isnt as strong as the prior years. It will be a battle for the regional title winner as the others years kind of seemed straight forward.

It might not be as strong individually on the females side but it the deepest its ever been team wise...7 teams in my mind that should be nationally ranked.

The team battle at regionals this year is going to be insane on both sides.
