What happened to the Atlantic Region thread? It looks like the one on D3 XC is gone too. Now that most teams have been practicing for almost a week, do we have any new info?

Bump...I've been searching for it too - what happened, it was just getting good....
I have also been unable to locate this thread. Here's a tasty lick from the fredonia athletics website.
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State has turned to one of SUNYAC sister schools to find its new head cross country coach, and stayed in-house to fill a second coaching position.
Jeffrey Beck, a three-time All American distance runner at SUNY Geneseo, has accepted an interim position to head up the Blue Devil men’s and women’s cross country programs. He will also serve as assistant track and field coach, Fredonia State assistant director of athletics Joe Baudo said.
Baudo also announced Elizabeth Aldrich, an assistant track and field coach for the past two seasons, will serve as interim director of track and field. A Fredonia native and graduate of the University of Alabama, Aldrich will be assisted by Paul Csont, as well as Beck and pole vault coach Tom Wilson.
Beck is familiar with the SUNYAC. A resident of Fairport, N.Y., he ran at SUNY Oswego before transferring to SUNY Geneseo. While running for the Blue Knights, Beck was a team captain and earned NCAA Division III All-American honors in 2003 and 2004. He also attained All-American status in track and field in 2005, his senior season at Geneseo. .
Beck stayed on at Geneseo the following fall as an assistant to head cross country coach Mike Woods. Their 2005 women’s team won the NCAA Division III championship, led by three All Americans. Beck continued on as an assistant coach with the Geneseo track and field team during the spring 2006 semester. He holds a bachelor of science degree in elementary education.
Since leaving Geneseo, Beck has worked as a personal coach and as an assistant manager at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters. He has also made the U.S.A. Snowshoe team twice and has twice been an alternate on the U.S.A. Mountain Running team. He is a member of the SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame as well the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Section V Cross Country Hall of Fame.

Good deal for Beck, that team jumped out of nowhere last season with all young guys. Let's see if he can keep their progression going.
bump
anyone else notice the picture of Beck that Fredonia has on its website is one of his Geneseo photos? Him wearing a Geneseo jacket and not a Fredonia one. Geneseo's gotta love that!
I noticed he still looks like he is in high school. I bet he'd be second man on that team.
What is even better is that Fredonia stole a Geneseo banner last fall, and used it as a door mat, took a team picture with it, and sent the picture to Geneseo. Now they have a Geneseo guy as their head coach....WILD.
There is no way, beck would be second man on that team. He is still running like a beast and would be the number 1 man on most teams in the region. If anything it looks like he has gotten better since his college running career ended.
Good luck to him with that team.
huh thats interesting...I wonder if there'll be any tension there...looks like theres some animosity towards the geneseo folks if they stole a banner and used it as a doormat
i wonder if they'll treat him like a doormat?
Looks like the D3Running.com page is back up and running. Hopefully they have more/better content this season and more people helping out. Could be a good resource.
Stenuf is coming back for a fifth year according to the Atlantic region preview. He could be a contender for a top five spot at regionals.
I personally stole the flag myself with one other teammate...it was meant to be a friendly rivalry joke, we thought the Geneseo team might respond with something equally humorous. The team picture however, was not humorous or acceptable...but that's last seasons news.
However, Jeff Beck is a great coach and I'm sure that no one on the team feels any animosity because of the fact that he was associated with Geneseo. I don't really feel that way about anyone from the school, some of my family attended there years ago. I'm very grateful to have Coach Beck as my coach!
Ah, and the flag was never used as a door mat. For the most part it remained carefully folded under a bed.
How about the meet Buffalo State is hosting this weekend? Brockport, Geneseo, Nazareth, Fredonia, and perhaps Oswego will be running.
Also this weekend…
Plattsburgh will be hosting St. Law, and Clarkson will be hosting Potsdam in dual meets.
What am I missing?
Early roster up for the NYU men:

Women's roster very thin, but no frosh listed yet:

Would expect both to grow--wouldn't be surprised if women's crew doubles (roughly).
Violets (both teams) open at Marist on 9/5.
Preseason national rankings are up.

Cortland received all 8 first place votes in the national poll...
Question: Will Cortland meet expectations despite the coaching change?
