    Trump is a retard. The reason automakers struck a deal with California on mpg is that they are not just building cars for the CA market, but world markers as well. And those two sets of markets sell many more vehicles than are sold in gas guzzlers red states. So, the smart move is to come up with a gas mileage (km) standards that the automakers can use for throughout CA and the world with minimal tweaks. But the moran who is Trump prefers that automakers build gas guzzling Trumpmobiles that could only be sold in limit markets. A really stupid idea by Trump ... Trumpmobiles.

    repubs have let dems form their environmental policy. Anything the dems want....the Rs want the opposite.

    the Rs actually want to increase the burning of fossil fuels and increase reliance on fossil fuels.

    it's crazy and electoral suicide but that's what happens when you let hatred of the other guys define your policy.

    Oil companies were responsible for the death of electrical commuter rail systems in many cities. They bought the electrical rail companies, starved them and let them die. Many large companies continue the practice of buying up competition to bury innovation and protect profits.
