Great question! It would have been easy to fake the moon landings while sending an an unmanned spacecraft to the moon. But the liftoff of Apollo 11 & the splashdown had real astronauts in the spacecraft.

So, where in the heck did Armstrong, Aldrin & Collins go for almost a week when the rocket lifted off to splashdown in the Pacific Ocean? 🤔

From 1981 through 2011, five space shuttles flew into Earth orbit on 135 missions in total. Never did space shuttles from 1981 through 2011 get within 100 miles of Van Allen Radiation Belt.

What are our options for 1969 through 1972:

1) U.S. N.A.S.A. natural scientists and medical doctors were smarter in 1969 through 1972. U.S. scientists and medical doctors, 1969 through 1972 knew how to have men travel safely through Van Allen Radiation Belt but they didn't tell anyone.

2) Humans have never travelled through Van Allen Radiation Belt.

None of the 135 space shuttle missions crossed the the Van Allen Belt because they did not need to. You only need to cross the Van Allen belt if you are leaving earth's orbit.

I don't think orbit means what you think it means. Anyone who crossed the Van Allen belt and landed on the moon would still be orbiting Earth.

Bro you gotta understand that there are ways to reduce exposure to radiation. Its like when you wear a lead vest when you get x-rays at the dentist, but like for space travel and stuff.

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and the others, like Harrison Schmitt, all made sure to stay inside the spacecraft and didn't get near any of them windows when they went through the Van Halen Allen Radiation Belt. They were tucked inside their safety space travel pods or whatever, and they made sure to wear sunglasses.
