There is a lot of disparity. In my neighborhood there are people lining up for miles for the food bank, and others wondering what fun thing to buy with their stimulus money.
One of the primary reasons this "social distancing" is an ineffective joke. Who's working at the food bank? If any of them are contagious with the virus, they could be literally handing it to thousands of other people.
The same is true of closing nearly everything but a few big supermarkets. Now everyone is crowded into those supermarkets, including anyone shedding virus by touching stuff. The virus people are herded through a few checkstands where they all touch the buttons on the payment terminal, and then the non-virus people are herded through to touch the exact same buttons. You couldn't design a more efficient virus-distribution system.
Fortunately, people can wash their hands afterward, just like they could after shopping other places. Fortunately you can avoid being coughed on if they're all wearing masks, just like you could avoid being coughed on if they wore masks at smaller stores too. There is no difference, no point to any of it, other than to make crazy people feel better.
